"A Wolf, meeting a big well-fed Mastiff with a wooden collar about his neck, asked him who it was that fed him so well and yet compelled him to drag that heavey log about wherever he went. Claire quickly jumps out of the flaming swords path, barely wincing as some of the flames burn her arm since she hadn't moved quite fast enough. She begins to circle Val slowly while keeping an eye on Reeve. 'The master', he replied. Then said the Wolf: 'May no friend of mine ever be in such a plight; for the weight of this chain is enough to spoil the appetite.'" -Aesop

Reeve grabbed the flaming sword and threw it right back at Val, unfazed by the heat.

Val held out a hand above his head and the flaming sword coming at him formed into a bow. The other sword formed into a quiver with three arrows. As the quiver flew over to him, he chanted. aiming the bow, he drew an arrow and pointed it at Reeve. Glowing blue as his chant finished, he let the arrow fly. When the swords transformed, half of Val's magic returned to him. now he held a slightly unstable bow and the arrows could become pieces of the greatsword in a few minutes. He had to be quick.

Reeve drew his own sword and sliced the arrow away from him and towards Claire. Once he finished that, he jumped into the air to attack Val.

"A Wolf, meeting a big well-fed Mastiff with a wooden collar about his neck, asked him who it was that fed him so well and yet compelled him to drag that heavey log about wherever he went. Claire knocks the arrow away with her sword with a sigh, knowing they weren't going to just let her wait peacefully for them to tire each other out. She cautiously circles behind Val, keeping an eye on the air born Reeve as she prepares to attack after him. 'The master', he replied. Then said the Wolf: 'May no friend of mine ever be in such a plight; for the weight of this chain is enough to spoil the appetite.'" -Aesop

Val sighs and ends the weapon enchantment entirely, fusing all the little pieces into his greatsword. The arrows were useless and he needed to enchant the blade. Chanting, he began to add an ice element to ThornyBracken.

Reeve wasn't planning on letting Val finish his enchantment. As soon as he was in range he swung his sword to strike at him, knowing that if he blocked, there was a good chance the momentum would send him crashing into Claire.

Val rolled his eyes at the dragon and tilted the flat side of his blade at the incoming attack. The angle of the tilt, along with the size of the blade and the momentum of the cut, would make the sword slide right along the side and deflect over Val.

Since his blade was being deflected, Reeve resolved to ram himself into Val, better they both be on the ground than have an enchanted sword to deal with.
