"Sure it was." Ashriel said, smiling at him, trying to tell him that she was just teasing him.
"What was?"

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn calmed down slightly, his fur lying flat again. "I was asleep. It was an accident." He continued to insist. The cat was ignoring Jennalin, not wanting to explain it to her. Otherwise hew as sure he'd have ANOTHER one calling him 'pervy kitty'. And that wasn't exactly something he wanted. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Okay, then it was an accident. You are still pervy kitty." Ashriel stated calmly. "It just means your subconscious is pervy. Not your conscious."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn began pacing along the countertop, his tail lashing. "No! All it means is that I'm a cat. Cat's like soft places. Cat's like pillows. Notice I slept on the pillow and not the bed? It's more comfortable. Some goes for you." The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Okay, I believe that one, then." Ashriel said calmly, glancing at Jennalin as she butted in.
"Hey, my brother did that to me, once." Jennalin had obviously managed to pick up one of Ashriel's thoughts. "I called him a pervert for months." She laughed gently. "Really, it is only their instinct, Ash. Sadly, it is."
"Your...brother?"

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "See?!" Raevyn said suddenly, seizing the lifeline Jen had thrown him. "It's simply a cat instinct! Even wildcats. Snow leopards will use their own fur to create a soft spot. We juts like soft and comfy spots." He said as he stopped pacing, turning to face the girls.
((Actually, the snow leopard thing is true. They use their downy undercoat of fur, when they shed it, to line their dens.)) The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel nodded at Raevyn, still staring at Jennalin. "Your...brother...was...a...werecat?"
"...Yes."
"Oh. Okay." Ashriel didn't seem startled at all by this news. "Okay, what do you guys want for dinner?"

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sat down on the counter, tail curled around his paws. He was completely calm now, satisfied. "It's the nature of a cat, whether it be a normal cat or a werecat." He said simply. "As for dinner, I don't care. As long as it has no sugar in it." He shuddered. "Please don't unleash that monster again. I didn't think anything was scarier than an angry Mama Bear, but I've been proven wrong." The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Now do you see why I wasn't afraid at all?" Ashriel looked at Jennalin, who smiled.
"I'm making it. Get away from the kitchen." Jennalin was known for making a gourmet dish out of the cheapest of foods and leftovers.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn ignored her order and stayed sitting on the counter. "What'cha making?" He asked curiously, watching her. Like any male of any species, he liked his food. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Something." Jennalin answered in a mysterious tone, getting out tomato paste and some chicken that Ashriel didn't already use.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn rose and padded closer, sniffing. "Mm. I like chicken. What's with the tomato paste though?" He watched Jen from the corner of his eye, trying to steal a piece of the chicken. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"You'll see." As he drew closer to the chicken, Jennalin spoke, as she was turned around to look in the cupboard. "Don't touch the chicken." She said coldly, digging out garlic power from the spice rack.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn paused with one paw hovering over the chicken. He glanced at Jennalin, debating. He made his decision and acted. Quick as lightning, he grabbed the chicken, batting towards himself. He grabbed it in his mouth then bounded away. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Okay, that means you won't get any of the finished product!" Jennalin called to Raevyn, still not even glancing at the chicken. Her focus was on preparing the sauce over the stove top.
