Ashriel shook her head, answering with a whisper. "No." Her voice sounded somewhat cracked and upset, and she was now looking out the window. Her fingers made their way through her hair, a few tears going down her cheek.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sighed, hearing her voice. He hated the fact that she was upset. Putting his hands against the door, he focused. There was a small click as the door unlocked and swung open. He entered the room and closed the door. He crossed the room with silent steps, moving to sit beside Ashriel. "It's not your fault." He told her quietly, gathering the girl into his arms. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel shook her head, not fighting against Raevyn's hands. She looked at him quietly, in argument. "It is. If I wasn't here, you and Luke wouldn't be in trouble." She told him quietly, her stomach churning. Her eyes were already red, and it was obvious that she'd been crying. She gasped lightly, trying to breath.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn pulled Ashriel onto his lap, cradling her. "Shh......Shh.....It's alright Ashriel." He murmured softly, kissing her temple. "If you weren't here, I would be dead. I wouldn't have survived that night on my own." He told her quietly, rocking her back and for slowly. "I would have died, alone on the streets, never having known even a friend let alone someone as special as you." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel took a deep breath; she knew he was right. But then again, so was she. Was anyone ever wrong? She found herself wondering that quietly, nodding as he spoke to her. Her arms wrapped around him, and she took another deep breath. Perhaps it canceled everything out. As long as neither Raevyn nor Jennalin nor Lucian were injured because of her, she supposed she could deal with it. The tears slowly stopped; her eyes looked at Raevyn in deep thought. "I...guess you're right." She said softly, her voice weak yet strong at the same time. Just...she didn't want him to get hurt; she didn't want him in trouble because of her. "I guess it's alright as long as you don't get hurt protecting me." Her arms tightened around his shoulders, and she hugged him, wanting to be so close.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn continued to hold her, letting her think that over. When she spoke, he smiled, glad to hear her calming down. "Everything will be alright." He promised, kissing her forehead. If one was paying attention, they would notice he never actually said anything about getting hurt protecting her. He couldn't. If it meant keeping her safe, he would gladly bleed for it. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel nodded quietly. She took deep breaths, not noticing his exclusion of his own safety. She was too upset to concentrate on the details; she really was. The tears stopped flowing, and her breathing returned to normal. Her eyes met his; she brought her face to lay on his shoulder. She was calm now - he'd managed to make her feel better about the whole thing. As long as he was okay, she would be fine with this. If he got hurt, she wasn't sure if she would be able to live with herself. A smile crossed her face now as if she'd just remembered she was in his arms. "I love you." She told him softly, her grin relaxed.
Jennalin smiled in the living room. She wasn't about to tell the males that she'd been watching the entire thing or mention to Ashriel the missing pieces to Raevyn's words. Those were some things that they needed not to know. If they knew, it would only cause complications that the four didn't need. She stood, stretching her back. Just moments ago she'd realized that she could use just a small extension of power without having to do the thing that alerted the guys and Ashriel; it may just be convenient in the future. If she could do that, she was sure that she could call those wings on demand, become that fairy self. Well, she didn't intend on using that ability often - just if necessary.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn kissed her briefly, their lips touching in a butterfly light kiss. "I love you Ashriel. Never forget that." He said softly, glad to see she was feeling better. He gently wiped away the last of the tears on her cheeks. "So, now that we've figured out Jennalin, think we should get on with today's errand?" He asked, wondering if she even remembered what the plan had been - The removal of her cast. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled at the light kiss, returning it gently. When it ended, she nodded in response to what he said. She grinned at his question, remembering that the cast was to come of today. "Definitely. We definitely should." She decided; she was sick of the thing. However, she didn't move - she wanted to stay close to him, and getting up would separate them.
Jennalin looked at her brother in the other room, who had started tapping his foot. Lucian wasn't the most...patient of people. And Jennalin knew that. To amuse herself, she took with fidgeting with his hair, and letting him swat at her - missing each time, of course.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Well come on then. No sense delaying it." Raevyn told her teasingly. He stood up, still holding Ashriel in his arms. He crossed the room with easy strides. Entering the living room again, he paused, blinking in surprise. "And here I thought you had better reflexes." He told Lucian with a smirk. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel grinned as he lifted her and stood. No need to be far from him now; this was a great solution. She couldn't help but laugh at Lucian and Jennalin - it had been a while since she'd seen either so relaxed. Lucian sent a minor glare to Raevyn; Jennalin grinned brightly at the teasing. "Oh, he does - he's just predictable~" She answered, her voice much brighter than it usually was. Then again, Ashriel had noticed in the past that Jennalin was much cheerier when messing with Luke; now they had a reason behind it.
Lucian stood up, swatting his sister's hands down and away from him. "I suppose, if you two are ready to go, it's almost time for Ash's doctor's appointment." He said smoothly, glad for an excuse to stop Jennalin's fidgeting. However, his mention of 'doctor' reminded Ashriel that she had to see a doctor to get her cast off. Suddenly, her stomach fluttered, and she found herself nervous again.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn chuckled, watching them. Feeling Ashriel's emotions shift suddenly, he held her tighter. "It's just a short appointment." He reassured her. "Nothing to worry about. I'll be right there." He told her soothingly, heading towards the door. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Lucian led the way out of the door as Ashriel took a deep breath, her eyes looking up at him. "Right...nothing at all to worry about. I'm not going to be alone with him at all, right?" She questioned, her fear of doctors still not disappearing. It was hard to not be afraid of them - her parents had left her alone with several in hopes that one would find what was 'wrong' with her.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... As he set her down in the car, Raevyn smoothed back her bangs. "No. I promise. You won't be alone. I'll be there the whole time." He told her seriously, sitting beside her in the back seat. "I won't leave you alone." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Lucian started the car as Jennalin climbed into the passenger seat, all three buckling. Ashriel smiled at what Raevyn said; it eased her slightly. "Good, you better not." She answered, grinning now. Her nervousness was gone as long as Raevyn stayed with her the whole time.
