"....Aren't you guys freaked out?" Adrian asked out of the blue. It had been weighing heavy on his mind for a while now. "I've got horns, and wings...I'm a regular freakshow; even my parents are scared of me." he said, his angry exterior finally starting to melt away as he stared at the ground.

"A-and, uh, I-I can sorta control shadows..." Riley said sheepishly as he tugged on his sleeve slightly.
Adrian's eyes widened a little. "Wait, you guys have crystals too?" A relieved smile started to crease his lips. "That's a relief...Finally someone knows what the hell I'm dealing with...But seriously, don't call me 'cute'. I'm straight. I have no plans on sticking it in any guys."

"It was just a compliment, okay? Jesus." Zach's face was burning. "I was trying to make you feel better." He grumbled, grabbing Riley's hand and dragging him to Zach's bedroom.
"He doesn't like that," Charlie said helpfully. "When you act like he doesn't know you're straight."

"Forgive me if I don't like feeling like guys are hitting on me." Adrian grumbled as he looked down at the little girl.
"Sorry Adrian seems a little on the homophobe side." Riley said giving Zach a kiss on the cheek.

"Then maybe you should just avoid saying things like that." Riley suggested. "Besides, how long has he been cooping himself up in his room? He's probably just not used to dealing with people again. Just give him some time." he said hugging Zach as he cuddled up with his boyfriend.
"My looks aren't the problem!" Adrian snapped. "Well, they are...but not those looks! I know my face is fine!"

"And I'm glad I have you." Riley said with a smile as he returned the kiss. "Even if I got my crystal way before I moved and still had all my old friends around, you'd still be the only one I showed my other world to."

Riley giggled slightly. "Sure. Maybe some day I'll show you the other perks that come with controlling shadows." he teased as a series of small tendrils reached up from their combined shadow and began to pull them down into Riley's shadow world. "But that's for later when we're ready to take the clothes out of the equation."
