'Letting us beat him to a pulp would be a better punishment...' The chance of getting arrested was about the only thing that kept Adrian from paying the man a visit and finishing him off. All these years and he was still pretty bitter about the whole thing, which was putting it pretty damn lightly.

"You alright?" Amaya asked softly as she stopped and grabbed Adrian's hand, noticing he seemed very tense now. She just became numb when she thought about Sikes, but it seemed Adrian wasn't able to let go of any of his anger.

"Yeah...yeah, I'm fine, don't worry about it." Adrian assured her with a sigh as he started to calm down a bit, realizing he was starting to go into rage mode.

She frowned, a sigh escaping her lips as she began to walk again. She could tell he was just smiling for her sake, but it's not like she could get him to stop being angry at Sikes. And she didn't want to make him anyway.

Adrian sighed as well. His was a complicated hatred. The man was an a** and did horrible things back then, along with every other fat b*****d involved, but if Sikes hadn't been there, if he hadn't owned both himself and Amaya, Adrian wouldn't be married right now.
Riley frowned. His parents were being all angsty and depressing and thinking about their past again. Not enjoying when they got like this, he lightly smacked them both in the arm. "You guys are being all depressing again. Stop it."

Amaya smiled lightly, seeing Riley was upset that they were thinking about their past. "Sorry." She apologized, ruffling Riley's hair. "So what comics did you get anyway?" She asked him, trying to change the subject and distract her son from the fact that his parents were depressed.

"Deadpool, Spider-Man, and Green Arrow!" Riley said with a proud grin as he pulled his comics partway from the bag to show them off.

"You guys are the ones that said anything's fine so long as it's not X-Men." Riley said with a rather smug smile as he put his comics back in the bag. Adrian had early on decided to cut him off of the franchise until he was older due to the now-quite-real moral issues relating to mutants.

((I honestly know jack about comics. All I know about them is what I've heard from a snarky internet reviewer I watch online, and all I know about Deadpool is that he's snarky, something I've only learned hearing his battle quotes the few times I've played Marvel vs. Capcom 3. xd ))

((Same. I've seen a few clippings of Deadpool Comics and what people have told me, but I've gathered it's probably not good for 10 year olds))

((Then I'd fail horribly as a parent and probably wind up being that moron that lets them read/watch anything because it's a cartoon. xd ))
