The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn held her hand as they drove. "I promised. And I never break a promise." He told her with a smile. Once they arrived, he carried her into the hospital. They were shown into a room almost right away. True to his word, Raevyn carried Ashriel, sitting with her on his lap as the doctor arrived. The man smiled and introduced himself before getting to work, using a small handheld saw to begin taking the cast off. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled, feeling better about this as they walked in. While the doctor worked, Lucian was watching Jennalin carefully, trying to figure out an excuse if she were to change then and there. Ashriel's eyes watched the doctor somewhat nervously although she was a lot more relaxed with Raevyn right there. The doctor couldn't actually do anything, if Raevyn was there, she figured. Still, she had to watch what he was doing, make sure he didn't try anything funny.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn held her, relaxed. He toyed with a strand of her long hair as the doctor worked. When the cast was off, the man ran his hands across Ashriel's leg, feeling for any sign of the break. "Any pain or anything?" He asked. "Feel anything as I touch here?" The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel, although bothered by the man's hands on her leg, cooperated, figuring it would get her out faster. "Nope." She answered, looking away from the doctor and up at Raevyn, who still sat taller than her even when she was on his lap.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn watched her carefully to make sure she wasn't lying. Satisfied with her, the doctor stood up. "Well, you're good to go. Just be gentle with your leg, the muscles are unused to such work. So just take it easy. Give yourself some time to ease back into work. And if it starts to hurt, take a break." With those words, the doctor nodded and left. "Ready to go find Jennalin?" Raevyn asked, glancing down at Ashriel. "Walk or be carried?"
((I'm off to bed. Night!)) The tiger that should be....isn't....

[|-|+Night. I was only on because I couldn't sleep. Been logging in and out all night, trying to sleep for fifteen, thirty minutes at a time. Hehe. Somehow, I still feel refreshed.+|-|] Ashriel smiled, sighing with relief when the doctor left. When given the choice, Ash grinned. She didn't want to walk right now; she would rather be close to him. Plus, she had to admit that it was a little sore, but just the tiniest bit. Not enough to let on to Raevyn or the doctor that anything was wrong. "Carried..." She said, not giving her reason behind her answer. She was glad the doctor was done - no more doctors for a while. At least, she hoped not.
Jennalin and Lucian were quarreling in the hall over something, just outside the door. Jen, however, was carefully watching what was going on inside without telling her brother. She intended fully to shut up the minute that Raevyn stood up, not risking Ashriel overhearing this particular conversation.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn chuckled quietly. "Why am I not surprised?" He asked teasingly. He gathered Ashriel in his arms and stood up, heading to the door. He shifted her slightly so he could open it, walking out into the hall. There, he glanced between Jennalin and Lucian. It looked like they'd been arguing though they weren't now. "Ready to go?" He asked, silently wondering what they'd been arguing about. The tiger that should be....isn't....

The two nodded, Lucian looking at Raevyn. He spoke silently to Raevyn, not wanting to say it aloud. "Jen wants me to talk to you about something, with her. But Ashriel shouldn't hear, so we will have to wait until we can busy her." He walked towards the car. Ashriel was hugging onto Raevyn, apparently tired. Why? Well, she had been upset earlier.
Jennalin followed her brother to the car, overhearing Lucian speak to Raevyn's mind. She stayed close, looking at the ground.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Alright." Raevyn replied silently though he gave no outwards sign of hearing. "She'll sleep soon, I suspect, so we can talk then." He said, getting into the car. Ashriel was always tired after she'd been upset, usually napping. He was counting on that to hold true. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel was tired; her eyes were already fluttering when they got into the car. It was shear determination that kept her awake now, and it was beginning to show that she was sleepy. Lucian nodded, starting the car once everyone was in and buckled. He drove quietly to Raevyn and Ashriel's home - as it was now thought of by the siblings - his eyes scowling at his sister sending thoughts to him.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn smiled as he saw Ashriel's eyelids fluttering. He was right on with his guess. He was quiet as they drove, ignoring the siblings in favor of watching Ashriel. When they reached the house, he picked her up and carried her in, barely pausing to unlock the door. He carried her straight to the bedroom, setting her down. "Don't argue, just sleep." He told her with a small smile. "You're exhausted. I can see it." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn quietly, debating to herself whether or not to listen. This time, she actually chose to listen. She closed her eyes quietly, nodding off. While Raevyn had been taking her into her room, Jennalin and Lucian seated themselves in the same chairs they'd been in earlier, waiting for Raevyn to come back out of the bedroom.
[|-|+Sorry, school started back up, and I was stuck at play practice til 4:30. By the time I got home at 6:30, I was exhausted. So. I don't know how much more than one time a day I'll be posting.+|-|]

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn smiled and kissed her forehead. "Good girl." He murmured, his voice almost a purr. He covered Ashriel with the blanket before rising and padding quietly out of the room. He trotted into the living room, taking his seat on the couch. "So? What's up?" He asked, careful to keep his voice low so he wouldn't disturb Ashriel.
((That's fine. Real life is more important than this.)) The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel fell victim to the grips of sleep just as Jennalin introduced the discussion. "I think I should be able to watch Ash now. I'm sure I'm more than able." She said softly, confident in her words. Her brother shook his head in obvious disagreement
"While you may be able to take care of yourself Jen, I really don't think you can take Ashriel on your own. However, I did tell her that I'd get your opinion on this, Raevyn. Do you think we can leave Ash alone with Jen yet?" Lucian said carefully, obviously against it.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn's eyes hardened. "No. Absolutely not." He said firmly. "You're too new to your powers. You don't even know the full extent of them. I am not leaving Ashriel alone with a young and untrained fairy. No way, no how." He seemed absolutely determined on this point and wouldn't be swayed. The tiger that should be....isn't....
