Ashriel smiled brightly at him. Her answer was simple. "It just is." She answered, stretching her head up to kiss him on the cheek lightly. She laid her head back down against his chest after that, yawning.

 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "You just want to blame me for everything." Raevyn said sadly, shaking his head. He chuckled, petting her hair. "Come on Ash. Let's get you to bed before you fall asleep on the couch." He said lightly, picking her up and carrying her to the bedroom.  The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel was bothered by his slightly saddened voice. "You do realize I was joking, right?" She asked, before contesting to go to the bedroom. "I'm not tired, though!" She told him, looking up at his face.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "And I was teasing you." Raevyn replied with a chuckle, setting her on the bed. "And if you aren't tired, then why were you yawning?" He asked her playfully. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel's face flushed at her mistake. "Because." She answered, using her arms around his waist to pull him down onto the bed next to her.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn chuckled and let her pull him down. He reached out with his mind, flicking off the light switch. Switching to his cat form, he wiggled out of Ashriel's grip, moving to settle on the pillow beside her. "See? Not pervy kitty. Sitting on my own pillow." He told her teasingly, amber eyes glinting in the darkness. The tiger that should be....isn't....

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn slipped out of her hold again. He returned to his pillow. "No. If you're gonna keep insulting me, I'll sleep right here." He declared stubbornly. He knew that some time during the night he would end up back in her arms, but it didn't stop him from doing this. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel pouted at his declaration, standing up in the dark room. She walked over to the door, opening it and then shutting it after her. She went into the bathroom, turning on the shower. She was going to think - about something other than this. The shower was simply a distraction; an excuse to get away from Raevyn and the bedroom.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn's amber eyes watched her leave. He sighed and curled up. 'That was a dumb thing to say.' He thought to himself. "Ashriel? Are you alright?" He reached out to touch her mind gently, worried about her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel heard Raevyn's voice as she was undressing, thinking for a moment. She was going to lie and claim she was; however, she remembered their earlier conversations. "No." She let him hear from her head as she stepped into the hot water.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sighed. At least she hadn't lied. "Anything I can do to help?" He asked quietly, not really sure how to make it up to her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel paused, thinking for a moment as she washed. "Yes. Tell the truth. Were you really insulted by what I said?" She asked him, trying to decide how to respond to either answer he might give.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn shifted and was silent for a moment before answering. "Honestly? No. I've been called much worse. It takes a lot before I'm truly insulted." He answered quietly. "It's not the nicest thing to be called, but no, I was not actually insulted." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at her feet quietly as she washed. "I"m sorry. I should just stay in here for a while." She said, silently lecturing herself. She remained under the hot water, feeling guilty about what she'd said.
