Why lucario is so dang amazing!

Pikachu doesn't count because it's the all-time star of the show, and a fight between Lucario and Pikachu would probably result in a win for Lucario(high sp. def.)

I have to admit lucario is pretty awesome and a great character for me in brawl as I usually seem to get hit a lot which means I can do more damage
i personally love his final smash and down B

to clear up exactly what lucario is, his appearance is based off the egyptian god anubis, the jackel god of the underworld. the name is actually, in japanese, the reverse of the word for oracle(O-RI-KA-RU-->RU-KA-RI-O). Also, the L at the beginning comes from his wolflike, or LUpine appearance.

Another thing: Lucario is NOT a legendary. legendary pokemon are unable to evolve or for the most part have eggs.(manaphy is an exception to the egg rule, but phione doesn't evolve into manaphy...). Most gendered legendaries have either a 50/50 ratio of m/f or a 100/0 or 0/100. Lucario has a 75/25 gender ratio. Lucario is generally referred to as a HE because it's more commonly male than female.

Doesn't Lucario have a base spec. def. of 70?

I know he seems like he has good defenses, but I think thats due to his odd typing making him resistant to a lot of different types.
