Whats so bad about anime, it isn't against God, is it?

o.O omg what to say there are stupid things everywhere. I wont enter a god discussion because i don't really believe. For crying out loud I'm 24 years old i LOVE anime and manga. So what most of the animes are not for kids anyway ^^; They say bad things, SO WHAT, just ignore them. ^^;

I know this is hard, but try your best.

Find something they like/do and say it's against god. Shove their own cereal down their throats. (Don't bug me about cereal, I'm hungry.)


They're stupid. COMPLETELY stupid. Manga and anime are NOT against god in anyway. . . god wishes us to be equal, but they look down on you.
We are wished to be more like others... reading manga like Japanese sure does that. They just don't like it because it isn't from America... it's just been placed into America and they don't like that.

tell them u respect thier choice to voice their opoin but they dn't have to like its not like they have to like it no one told them that every human being different though some may not be in looks in the aspect of who they r they r different and no 2 people have to like the same thing because being different makes us all human and trust me i know how u feel i'm picked on just because i'm nothing like them but the way i'm changing these days i'm becoming them and they dn't know it though i want nothing to do with them if they cn't accept me the way i am and the same should be said cuz really u only need one good friend to make life good and that GOD mess is a bonch of boll i know cuz my family are deeply religious people and they dn't mind both me and my uncle liking anime they say its fine

Okay those Kids are just idiots. Just ignore them. You don't have to listen to them, and from what they are saying, you shouldn't listen to them. Anime and manga are just for people's enjoyment. You shouldn't listen to them.

It all depends on the content of the manga you are reading.

Because there is yaoi? or hentai. I don't know, crazy stuff like that, and it would lead some people to say silly things like manga is against God. Which is ridiculous.

But it's just a way of drawing things and some people are too daft to see that.

how is it against god i mean i love anime manga and anime tv (yes anime tv) so..... i dont see how it is and tell those kids that tell u that stuff 2 actually read it and maybe theyll have a different veiw of anime manga

Kids at my school are making fun of me and my friends because we like and draw anime. Dont get me wrong, I love anime and manga, and my drawing isn't that bad, but everyday, different people say that what I draw is against God. They say that if I hate America that much then I should go back to Japan. I'm full blown American, but the kids always hate me because of what I like! Is Anime and Manga really against God or is pro-terrorist? I dont get it. Can you help me out a bit, give me some advice?

Ok, the kids at your school are either being religious extremists or they think they're being cool.

Here's an example from my life:
During second grade, while the world was in the Pokemon phase, just about everyone in my class loved Pokemon. I myself had watched that and Sailor Moon, plus another show which name I forgot whose time slot was switched to 1am (I'm getting off topic aren't I?).
One day, a boy brought over his Pokemon cards to school, and almost everyone crowded around him. My teacher had this strange look on her face and had all the girls gather around her for a talk. She started talking about how shows like Pokemon (she meant anime) came from CHINA (???) and how, just because they're not Catholic (I was at a Catholic Private school during that time), all they're creations are evil, and we shouldn't support it.
It really freaked me out. I was being an idiot of a 6-year-old to believe her. I stopped watching my once favorite shows because of her extremist beliefs.

The point of that story, you may ask? Well, I'm getting to that. Some people can be very unknowledgable, and unless they actually do the research (like the difference between China and Japan or actually seeing the content of POKEMON, nothing wrong with it!) they aren't entitled to saying anything against it.
Plus, it might have to do with how they grew up, like would be taught not to read or watch that kind of stuff, or just plain think it's not cool without giving it a chance.

there. That's a fact. If anyone tells you anything different, they obviously don't know about God themselves.

So you take ANY manga and anime you want and watch them and read them to your heart's content. I don't even thing Hellsing is against God. Sure they probably contain controversial ideas, but the purpose wasn't to preach something that was blasphemous. It was created for the sole purpose of entertainment. Watch whatever you want to watch, but don't let it influence you in a bad way. You are a smart person who I am sure knows right from wrong, so just do what cha gotta do and LIVE A BEAUTIFUL LIFE.

and for the people in school, ignore them. they are not open-minded and by making comments like that, they are clearly dumb and will not go far in life.

Anime and Manga are just a type of media and it depends on the story they tell if you think they offend your religion. In fact I could understand if christian people would dislike Angel Sanctuary... I mean God is a sadistic freak in it who produces angels for strange entertainment... actually I still read it because it does not affect me. It will not have any influence on my believe and not on my behaviour. I will still not kill anybody and I will try to be nice to others.
Some people think anime=porn. But in fact in Japan the porn stuff is just a really really small part. It's just that the other countries ask for it, so there is so much porn compared to non-porn. And hey, it's not the Japanese's fault if we are so horny^^

BTW What are you exactly drawing? I mean what kind of motives? And you said they say you should go back to Japan. Are you Japanese? Then maybe it is more a matter of racism?
