Part 1 of 3
Kenshin and Omegamon come into a snowy village, taking great notice of the sub zero coldness around them. It is so cold they could speak out sentences and they would linger on in their breath. Kenshin proudly thanks himself for getting snow gear before coming. The duo stop before a crying Yukiagumon, who was down on his knees amidst other Yukidarumon and Gomamon.
Kenshin rushes quickly to them, not hesitating to ask, "What's wrong with you guys?"
YukiAgumon looks up at Kenshin, tears pouring down his eyes and freezing before they could reach the snow. "It's(sniff), it's father! He's been gone for several hours!!"
"What happened to him?" Omegamon asks, walking up to them from behind Kenshin.
A Yukidarumon takes a single step to Omegamon, beginning to tell the story. "Sub Zero went to a nearby cave to explore it. Normally he would return within a day, but it's been 72 hours ago since he left."
"So what? You can't go save him?" Kenshin asks without a second thought.
"That's the problem," A Gomamon crawls in between Kenshin's legs, answering his question. "Especially since he went to Hyoga Cave. A group of Hyogamon have recently moved there, and they're very territorial of their property."
"We've all tried to go there and get him free, but every time we do the Hyogamon attack us." A second Yukidarumon brings up, continuing Gomamon's answer to Kenshin's question. "We tried reasoning with them, but they don't listen to us, claiming that 'invading their territory is unforgivable.'"
"So that's it huh..." Omegamon says, then notices Kenshin still staring at the crying YukiAgumon.
The boy's heart continues to ache every time he hears the tiny snow reptile cry out his father's name. Kenshin lowers his right hand down, placing it on top of the Child's head. His action stops him from crying, as YukiAgumon looks up at the raven haired Tamer. The Royal Knight sighs an annoyed tone, placing his right hand/wolf head on his forehead. "You're not serious are you?"
"Yup." Kenshin then looks at the first Yukidarumon, a strange air blowing around him. He plainly asks the Digimon, "Where is this cave?"
