Dialga never created Celebi.They have no relation(unless you count the time thing)You see, almost every legendary pokemon have a job.
Celebi-Make any damaged Nature right again
Dialga-Control Time
Palkia-Control Space
Giratina-Keep the Reverse/Distortion World safe or else it could damage the real world
Suicune-Purify Bodies of Water
Arceus-Control the universe
Lugia-Keep the three legendary bird pokemon from creating havoc.
And many more legendary pokemon have a job.
You see, I don't think Mewtwo and Arceus will fight because they each have a job and they need to do that job. |

Some of the legends have jobs, but most are just there. I'm sure that half of this information is wrong from the extended universes. but I'm basing this off of the anime and the games. (normally I exclude the anime and include the manga, but, for most people who don't read Pokemon adventures, the anime and the game are the only ones that they know of)
Articuno (seems to only stay dormant unless angered, at which point it goes berserk attacking just about everything, not a job)
Zapdos (territorial and stole Moltres' island causing weather disputes, then went berserk and started attacking everything, not a job)
Moltres (went berserk after being freed, then attacked everything, normal job being dormant...not a job)
Mewtwo (was made, has no job)
Mew (stopped mewtwo, that's not a job, that's an occurance)
Raikou (no job)
Entei (hasn't appeared in the anime officially yet and hasn't been explained with a job)
Suicune (purifies water, it's a job)
Lugia (appeared to calm the three birds, is the guadian of the sea, it's a job)
Ho-oh (guardian of the air and of the three legendary beasts, it's a job)
Celebi (doesn't appear to have a job, it can travel through time, that's all that is explained, not a job)
Regirock (doesn't really have a job)
Regice (doesn't really have a job)
Registeel (doesn't really have a job)
Latais (guards the Soul dew, it's a job)

wellwisher Suicune, Lugia, Ho-oh, latias, latios, Shaymin seem to be the only ones with jobs.
Suicune's job is to purify lakes (seen in Celebi movie) and commands the northern winds. The Lati@s pair are the protectors of Altimare and can destroy tidal waves big enough to destroy the island (Pokemon Heroes), Lugia controls the undersea currents and keeps the other three legie birds in check, Ho-Oh can revive dead Pokemon (thus creating the legie dogs), and Shaymin purifies polluted lands (Giratina & the Sky Warrior movie)
But back to the current topic; In the games, Mewtwo wins. Mewtwo has a wide movepool to choose from that, while not as vast as Mew's, is vast enough to hit on just about every weakness if planned for properly, or will at the very least be able to hammer on a neutral point. One Life Orbed Aura Sphere from Mewtwo is enough to OHKO Normal Arceus. If Mewtwo hits Arceus with a strong type-advantage special attack with Life Orb as a held item (and taking into account Mewtwo being EV'd for Sp. Attack and including a max Sp. Def EV'd Arceus), Mewtwo will OHKO it most of the time, or at best for Arcy, 2HKO.
Smogon.com Mewtwo, also known as the classic “God” of Pokémon, is certainly no slouch. Its offensive stats and huge Speed coupled with its amazing offensive movepool, giving coverage on pretty much any Pokemon, are hard to compare with other Pokémon. Mewtwo might have to share its throne with Kyogre, Darkrai, and other powerful threats; however, Mewtwo has a lot going for it with its “perfectly placed” stats and vast movepool. One of Mewtwo's most fearsome qualities is its amazing versatility. It can function well as a sweeper, a wall to many threats in the Ubers metagame with its underestimated bulk and plethora of defensive moves, or a supporter, so one must be extremely careful of Mewtwo's sheer unpredictability. In fact, Mewtwo's many skills make it pretty much uncounterable. Mewtwo's only bad qualities are its bad STAB and lack of resistances that a lot of other Uber Pokemon can boast, but these are very minor faults. “Fear” is the one thing you should think about when facing a Mewtwo, as it is one of the most dangerous Pokemon in the game.
Anime-wise, Arcy would just keep swithing out plates to nulify or lessen the damage received, but in the end it could go either way.
Drumgasmic Monkeyguy well i gotta say its a little sad how everybody is going so so deep into this topic. just think about it. the creator vs. a clone. i gotta say Arceus would kick Mewtwo's (i dont think he has an a** so ill just go with) funky looking tail.
As for you, Arceus almost died at the hands of a human through use of liquid silver. The only thing that saved Arceus was Ash. If a human can just about kill this 'God of Pokemon', no one can really say that Mewtwo couldn't because of him being a clone vs. a pokegod. If anything it proves the opposite, that the creations of man can overcome the creator of the Pokemon world. |
