~OPEN~ Sara happily gazed at the pages in her book, eyes sweeping over each line as the light breeze pulled at her hair. When she finished the book she closed it with a gentle snap and then laid it on her lap. It had been a rather good ending to the book and she was satisfied as she gazed at the scene before her.
She was on a cruise ship and was resting next to the pool with an umbrella over her head. She would have rather been in her room or some other quiet place so she could read, but her parents had forced her out. They always wanted her to socialize with the other teens but she was very shy and unsure when faced with new people. Especially when she had no idea what to even say to people her own age, what could they have in common anyway?
The water in the pool looked very inviting, there weren't a lot of people out in the pool at this time, it was usually considered nap time from one to three in the afternoon, but she still didn't want to swim. She glanced down at her covered legs, the loose yoga pants reached all the way to her ankles. She was wearing a one piece bathing suit but she was so embarrassed to take off her pants. She had a rather obvious scar on her leg, and hated being stared at because of it. So it was better to just stayed covered.
Sara sighed and stood up, walking her way to inside of the boat She didn't notice the dark clouds along the horizon, quickly getting closer and closer to the boat.

Laughter and shouting all around, everyone was enjoying the cruise, the pool was filled, kids were running wild and Leo sat on the deck trying to remembered how he let himself get so badly sunburned. He might have forgotten sunscreen, and napping everyday on the deck probably didn't help. "If I'm already burned, staying out here won't matter much" he muttered to himself.
Stretching out for a moment he pulled out his phone and his screw driver. Leo's phone had been been misbehaving recently and he intended to find out why. Ducking his head he went to work. Pulling out the battery first and laying it aside. Within minutes he had it disassembled but saw nothing wrong, and if it wasn't a hardware issue Leo couldn't do much to fix it.

Albert laughed as he knocked another man's shuffle puck off the ramp and it went over the side. He burst out laughing as a few heads turned to him, dismayed. The elderly people around him seemed annoyed at his loud ways, but he merely skipped himself down the ramp from the shuffleboard to see where it might have gone.
Spry and active, Albert wore a rather bent straw hat, a lei, a tropical shirt that lay open to his tanned chest, and khaki board shorts. His flip flops hit the deck with an obvious slapping noise, and he knew he looked foolish. The old man could care less as he finally found the puck and turned around back toward the group he'd left. He had business to tend to.
"I'm not losing this bet, Conrad! No sir! I'm sure I can get a full ten!" He winked at his newest friends, knowing they'd soon be gone to go to the early bird dinners and off to bed, missing half of the cruise they'd pay for. He couldn't stand that thought. He looked to the sky, marking the clouds up ahead. Well, a bit of rain never hurt anyone.

Sara quickly made her way to her and her parents room, noticing that her parents were no where to be found. They were probably hanging out in the 'adult lounge' where kids weren't allowed. They had a teenage lounge but when she had passed by it earlier the noise emitting from it made her decide she would rather not kill her eardrums.
She quickly found a book that she hadn't read yet, just throwing the other one onto her own bed. She walked out into the hallway, trying to decide where to go. She really wasn't interested in going outside again, but where could she go?
"Attention everyone." The voice of a man went over the intercom and Sara stopped walking, tilting her head to listen. "This is your captain speaking. There appears to a storm system approaching us, but don't worry we can easily divert it. But for everyone's safety we ask that you stay inside." Well now she defiantly couldn't go outside even if she wanted to. She had seen a 'reading lounge' on the map of the cruise and she headed that way now.
((I am going to go a bit fast for cruise part so we can get on the island quicker))
