If things weren't so dark... Vaxes E. Byrn
Her eyes flowing over the bobbing heads of people, her tall stature from her boots gave such a small advantage. She stared at people who walked by, some of them not even noticing her. 'These people don't even know when Royalty has graced them,' she thought venomously. She brushed off the thought picking up her pace now. Seeing the stable boy she waved him over. Grabbing a small coin bag from her pack. "I hope your horses are as good as your Queen," she said to the boy giving him the amount of gold. Grabbing a darker horse, one that matched the dark of her bow, she rode off. At the city's boarders she slowed, her eyes flickering across the rugged landscape. Pulling her cowl more so over her face, though it seemed not many knew who the high Queen was. The horse stepped slowly, her eyes quickly darting, she drew her bow and shot a passing rabbit. Shaking the worry from her thoughts she sat straighter and kept the paranoia at bay.
...I could smite your heart. Ooc:I dont normally do Ooc's that small, but since it was a meaningless post i made it suuuper tiny. xD

((Uhhh...I will come up with a better post tomorrow. I'm in the middle of traveling at the moment and I really can't think up a good post right now.))
"Eh girly, this seat taken?" Amaya heard for yet the twelfth time.
Turning in her seat, the woman sighed, resting her head in her hand. "If you mean taken by someone of consequence to you, then no. But taken as in I'm inviting you to sit next to me if it isn't, then it is. I have no desire to speak with you at the moment, if that is any indication to my initial feelings about you." She told him with a dry smile, rolling her eyes at his understood confusion.

Zaneth made his way deeper into the dying underbrush. It had taken him a bit to find the trail leading away from the battle. As he went along, he covered up what tracks he could that would made by the summon and made sure to leave as little as possible himself. He wasn't worried about being caught, at least not yet. If anyone already know about they, they would first have to find the tracks the lead away from the battle and that would be a difficult for even the most skilled trackers. He soon found the summon. She sat with her back against a tree and breathing heavily. She didn't notice him at all at first. From what he could tell, she had not sustained any life threatening injuries but had lost a lot of energy from her escape. Zaneth was able to get about 10 feet away before she noticed him and as soon as she did, breath quickened. "Stay away." He stopped where he was. It always intrigued him how Summons could pick up any language within a hour.

Tamara was in her stable, taking care of the horse she had just finished riding on the grounds of the Deltarian castle. All of a sudden, she heard heavy footsteps in her direction, along with the sound of breathlessness. She turned to see a squire coming towards her.
"M'lady," he said, bowing to her. He reached inside his parcel and took out a sealed letter. "A message from the head General." He bowed again, and left.
Tamara held the letter in her hand. The general only used this seal for absolute emergencies. She opened the letter, and her hands started to shake. As she read a survivors account of the ambush, she bit her lip. "It is decided then," she said to the horse. She took the edge of her cloak and trudged up to her advisers to tell them a plan that had been brewing in her head.

Maverick had thrown a cloth bag with a hole for air over the summons head. "Who do you think will pay me more for ye?" He sorta taunted the summon "Ah what's that matter to you right? You're probablly planning your next escape right?" He chuckled "Not much of a talker eh? Alright then, but I can tell you this. This whole hunting buisness, is nothing personal. Just a bit of fun for me really. Make some decent money too but I really love the hunt." He smirked "Especially when I don't have to hurt 'em. You don't have to believe me but I don't like when I have to injure my prey. It's no fun that way, but I can't go around defensless either. Don't think just cause I don't like fighting I ain't skilled with these here blades." He looked up ahead at the town on the horizon "Well, we're coming to our stop. It's been real fun talking to myself, maybe next time you'll actually respond to me." He laughed heartily.

If things weren't so dark... Vaxes E. Byrn
The winds were cold, a bitter bite in the air, thrashing enough to stir the horse. Slipping off her mount she patted it's shoulder, tieing to a nearby tree. "Stay little horsie, I'll be back before you can say 'nay'," she said her tone hushed, much like the slow movement of snakes. She started forward her bow in hand, nose to the wind. A voice sounded, seemingly carelessly it talked. She peered in, her form taking place behind the brush. He was holding a summoned hostage, boating about how much money he might get. She growled lowly to herself as she drew her bow, there was no emblem for this man, maybe a freelancer, maybe a spy. She didn't care, shoot now, talk later. Her fingers released, the arrow speeding forth faster then angles fly. It struck the cuffs in which the summoned was bound, just inbetween a link in the chain hooking it and taking it for the ride. It took the summoned dragging it through the air and pinned against a tree. "Dont move," Vaxes called out before a reaction could be met. Bow already draw she aimed it at Maverick's chest her eyes burning emerald. "Deltar?"
...I could smite your heart.

Maverick sighed when the arrow took is prey over to the tree. "That wasn't very nice!!" He called out. He drew his sword from his side, Claymore slung over his back. He looked at the woman with the bow drawn to him "So you're the one trying to make my life harder eh?" He kept his gaze locked on her and then responded "Do you see an emblem on me? I mean how haven't you heard of me?" He smirked "I am the best summon hunter in all the land."

Her finger's tightened the bow, long years from shooting and perfecting the art, nothing was more eaiser to kill with. She took a slow step to the side, just to provoke his stature, but never glancing away from him. "Such a small title, one that can be surpassed when a more ambitious and younger protege comes," she commented her voice a dark playful tone, a gentle smile crossed her face. "However, Queens last forever."
...I could smite your heart.

Xypher sat in a thick forest, throwing his dagger at tree, then prying it out and doing it again. It always hit dead on, making pieces of bark chip away. He was alone, he was sure. Just sitting around, waiting for something, he didn't know what. He black hair stuck to his forehead slightly from not bathing in a while. His armor was dirty and almost ragged but he didn't care. It was almost time for him to head along back to Deltar, he'd been gone for quite a few days.
When the queen had come through the Ashire Capital, Maia walked the complete other way. She knew who the queen was and before, Maia would've been quick to bow her head down; but things were different for her now. Keeping her quick pace, Maia swiftly swerved around people. The cloak swaying behind her in her haste and blonde strands of hair rustled around her face and hood.

Maverick laughed hard "Queens last forever you say? You are too funny." He smirked "What makes you think you are any more important than me? Your title?" He laughed "Queens are replaced just as quickly as we hunters. Just as easily forgotten. You are correct should a protege be skilled enough to be taken on by me then yes they could replace me. Is it not the same for a queen who has a child, or cousin, or unhappy peasant who usurps her power. Oh and sometimes when the family is usurped, the new royal family makes sure everyone forgets about the old. Face it darling. Nothing is forever, no name, no weapon, no person, no war, and no peace." He sheathed his blade and said "I've got a buisness to run. One that you would be interested in. If you are the queen of Ashire. I sell escaped summons to the higher bidder. Or which ever nation gives me a contract. If I have a contract I keep to my contract. If I catch a summon that I see running around, I take it to the auction and let the bids begin." He chuckled to himself and said to her "Afraid to take your eyes off me?"

It had taken him a bit but Zaneth had finally convened the summon, who had informed him her name was Lilith, to allow him to help her. She was one of the luckier ones. The only feature that distinguished her from the others of this world were her wings which were now hidden beneath Zaneth's traveling cloak that he had given her. The way they looked now, they could easily pass as a traveler helping someone who had been caught in a battle which wasn't uncommon these days. They were now traveling north on the boarder of the 2 nations. At their pace, it would take about 2 to 3 days before they reach their destination. Zaneth had traveled this route many times now. They would avoid all major cities and the only soldiers they should meet would be too busy fighting to pay too much attention to them. He had also created 2 other trails that lead off in different directions at the spot where Lilith and him had met to throw off any pursuer. Within the hour, they would make it to a well traveled road and it would be impossible to pick out their tracks but until then, he would keep his senses sharp to make sure they weren't followed.

Tamara was back in the stable, saddling up her horse. She wore a dark blue clock over her light blue peasant dress, with her hair done in a simple folk style that consisted of a braid that snaked around on the back of her head and then hand down her back. She had supplies for a week's journey, a map, her trusty bow at her side, and a quiver of arrows on her back.
Tamara's lead lady in waiting was standing beside her, and asked, "Majesty, you know how I will always follow you loyally, but please, let me ask. Are you positive that this is the only way? Especially with a lower maid taking your place in-"
"That is why you are still my lead lady, Marrien," said Tamara with a knowing smile. "You will teach her my mannerisms, and protect her as you have me all these years." She finished saddling her horse and turned to her friend. "Dearest Marrien, I know that you will perform to outshine my expectations of you. Now, I must trust that you will hasten to your post. Good luck, my friend, and I pray that when I return, I can trust that you will be there."
Marrien curtsied. "Yes, Majesty. May God bless you on your journey. Be safe in your travels, and careful of those whom you trust. There are dangers, and I do not wish to serve this look alike for very long." She curtsied again as Tamara headed out of the stables. "Good bye, Tam."
Tamara smiled, and said, "I will get used to the name very quickly." Then she turned her horse and started for the road, heading towards the direction of the ambush.
