Sophie was already in the garden. She was playing a soft lullaby as the buds on the flowers started to open. She smiled as she watched them but stopped when she saw Lumaria coming. "Oh, good morning." she said with a friendly smile though she was being cautious. She had fought him once a long time ago but she was trying to be nice because of the truce.

"Oh, good morning" Lumaria said. his body shivered slightly. Still a little cold from what happened with Victor. He took a few steps to a rose bush and sat down. He seemed to smiled brightly. "Good morning to you too" he said to the bush. The vines seemed to shiver in reaction. To Lumaria it was good sign that it was healthy.
Lumaria's face suddenly flushed, as if the plant said something embarrassing. "I can't speak of that here...." he said glancing at Sophie. The roses was asking him how things were going with Victor. There was no way he'd say anything like that in fount of anyone. The plant seems to be laughing at him in a friendly way.
"Kakakata Kataomoi" Lumaria muttered, which roughly translates to 'my o-o-one-one sided love' but then again it was part of a song so no one really takes him seriously when he says that.

"Um, is everything ok?" Sophie asked when she saw how he was reacting to the plants. She knew about his powers but she didn't know he could talk to them.

At the other end of the garden, Ororo ambled about with a miniature rain cloud following her and watering the plants. She loved to spend time in the gardens in the morning. The calmness of the flora helped her to face the day with a balanced mental state and kept her from losing her temper too easily.

Lumarlia looked up when Sophie spoke. "Oh, yeah. The plants sometimes say really weird things" he said with a laugh. He was glad no one else could hear them. The bush made a pose as if he was planing his hands on its hips. He noticed the gesture. "Sorry, but it isn't really anything I'm willing to speak of aloud." he said, "At least not to people"

A Young Man stood at the gate of the premises. "Hello??? Is there anyone here? I was told this was a safe place for Mutants..." He called out. He was sickly looking, and in truth he was. His power had ruined his life more than most mutants could claim.

"That's ok. I know I have secrets I only tell plants." Sophie said with a smile then looked at the daisies. "Don't go telling him who I like!" she said jokingly and giggled. She wasn't making fun of him, she just wanted to make him a little less uncomfortable. Even though they were enemies it doesn't mean they always have to be.
Suddenly the gates opened and the new boy could hear talking over the intercom. "Silver, please go greet out new guest." someone said. "Ugh! Why do I have to?! I don't even live here!" an angry girl yelled then there was a yelp and she ran out of the house with a singed rump. "Stupid Cyclops." she grumbled and walked over to the thin boy. "Wow, you aren't gonna kill over are you?" she asked while crossing her arms.

"As Long as You don't Touch me, I won't..." The Young Man answered. He may have sounded cruel, but In truth He was just worried. "So much more, Life than I had expected...this isn't good...."

Lumaria couldn't help but to smile. "Actually, plants are pretty good at keeping secrets. But then again I never really ask them to tell me anything. Just for them to listen" he said glancing at the rose bush. "In fact out of all the plants I've met I've enjoyed talking to this one the most" he said with a smile.
Eventually Victor left his room to eat breakfast. He wore a black sweater even though it was the middle of summer. Some one stopped him to chat. One of them asked how it was like being Lumaria's room mate. "I seriously can't stand the guy... I can't believe it had to be him out of all people" It was annoying how every night Lumaria would crawl in his bed. Not that he would tell anyone.

Silver raised her eyes when he said that. "Whatever, just get in before I get a migraine." she said with a sigh and turned and walked away. Somehow her pants weren't burnt from the zap she had gotten.
Sophie smiled as she looked at the bush. "I have noticed that it has been growing better sense you've moved in." she said and lightly touched one of the roses but didn't pick it.

Lumaria smiled, "I think it might have been lonely" he said glancing at the rose bush. In fact he noticed it too. When he first came here the bush was depressed, and wasn't even able to produce many roses. The roses it did have back then weren't very nice. They were quite weak. But now the roses more than doubled in number, and were all very beautiful.

"I'm glad you moved in." Sophie said with a smile. She then blushed at how that sounded. "I-I mean because I was worried that they were going to take this rose bush out and replace it." she said as a cover to what she said before.

The Young man was careful to follow without touching anything organic with his skin. "I take it you're one of those with a less extreme mutation?" Then He sighed. "Sorry. My mutation has ruined my life in a way most mutants wouldn't be able to withstand. So much pain...."

"Ha! Don't talk to me about pain." Silver said and stopped and looked at him. Suddenly her skin slowly started to turn to shiny metal. "I've almost drowned too many times to count." she said. "Plus I can't stay like this for long or my metal skin will get too heavy for me to breath." she added.

Victor looked up when he heard a new voice. 'I can't believe you can wear something like that' a girl complained seeing him in a sweater. "Good morning, he said to the two of them as they'd walk past" He did notice the new guy mentioned something about pain.
Lumaria smiled, "Is that so" he said. "This might be funny... seeing what side I'm on... but.... I'm glad too" he admitted. Other plants around him seemed to have responded.
