{Awesome. :3}
Jaq let out a dry laughter as Ticvor confirmed her suspicions. It seemed unintentionally cruel, like she knew some deep dark secret that the newbie to Strangetown didn't. "Ohohohoho, this is going to be rich!" Shortly after, she clarified, "Do you know why that house is so cheap, Lowbro? Or why this town's called Strangetown?"

Ticvor blinked in confusion. "I did wonder about the house yes, but I never really gave much thought about the name of the town. I just figured someone had a sense of humor.
In the shade of a nearby parasol sat the mayor of the town. She didn't actually wear a swimsuit since she didn't plan on swimming just yet. All she same she wasn't very covered up. A simple black tank top, with black shorts. She wore dark sunglasses to conceal her red eyes. Soon enough she'd noticed Ticvor talking to something. She smiled to herself. It looked like he was about to make a friend. It would be a shame if another kid was scared away like the last person.

"Whether it's some sort of blessing or just plain luck, whoever lives in that house tends to have more encounters with the paranormal than any other normal sim!" Jaq replied almost excitedly, seeming rather fascinated with the thought of being the center of attention for the supernatural world. Of course, she was over idealizing it a considerable bit. "Since I happen to own that mansion I mentioned earlier, that means we're neighbours. I hope you'll tell me if anything unusual happens your way. For example, any mummies or vampires..." Her face then immediately took on a more irritated and flat tone as she continued, "If you see Chester the Bigfoot, make sure to tell him I want that thingy he borrowed from me back. He'll know what it means."

Ticvor's expression was a weird mix of shock, and confusion. Okay, sure people who had lived there in the past might have been unlucky. But it doesn't mean there are supernatual creatures running around. The thought of that was just so absurd. "I.... I see..." he muttered for a lack of anything better to say. Soon he stood up. "Oh, I don't hope this won't seem rude, but I really go have to unpack my stuff." he said before heading back home. After getting into the gate he noticed a rather large package by the door by his luggage. After he was the suitcase inside he brought in the box as well. Remembering the little rumor he was relutant to open the box. But he did it anyway. He was surprised to see a brand new computer in the box. Monitor and everything. It wasn't long until he got it hooked up and running. "I didn't expect such a nice welcome gift. I didn't expect anything at all" he muttered looking over the computer tower. It was a nice looking computer too. Too use looking a gift horse in the mouth so to speak. He booted the computer on and watched as it had boot itself up. It was pretty impressive seeing a brand new computer start up for the very first time. Looked like the operating system was already installed. Which was pretty awesome. He felt like a very lucky sim right about now. *** Veronica smiled lightly as she sipped some tomato juice. He looked a little panicked learning the town's dirty little secret. But hopefully he won't run off so soon. He probably wouldn't be able to since he probably doesn't have much money. But hopefully he'll like the gift she left him. She brought out her umbrella, and made her way for the snack bar to place an order for strawberries. No cake, just the berries. She couldn't help but to laugh lightly. That boy looked delicious. She had a feeling that even aliens would take interest.

"By all means, don't let me distract you." Jaq replied, waving ever so slightly at Ticvor left. She then went on to finishing her snack when yet another individual came for tomato juice and strawberries. Jaq glanced over to the other woman, reccognising her as the really pale mayor who apparently loved dress up. (Maybe she really, really loved Halloween and fake vampire teeth or something?) The tattoo on her neck was pretty neat looking, in Jaq's oppinion, but she enjoyed her own tattoos - which covered much of her back and arms - more.

Veronica noticed Jaq after she had been given her berries. "Mind if I ask what you think of the new resident, Ticvor, right?" she asked, her voice seemed smooth, and rich, like melted chocolate. [lol]

"Hmmmm..." Jaq seemed to hold a look of ponderment at Veronica's question, not really sure what she thought. So she said so. "I'm not sure, after all, we've only just talked once. He seemed okay enough, but first impressions can really fool a girl. So I guess I'll figure it out as I get to know him better." Jaq's voice was much different from Veronica's. Unlike the mayor, Jaq didn't have a suave and seductive way of speaking. Her voice was airy and light, with the faintest rasp to it. She sounded quite sweet actually, like angel food cake.

Veronica smiled. Her sharp bangs seemed unusually brilliant. "An interesting answer." she said amused. "I have a good feeling about this one" she said as she walked away. *** Ticvor was in his house unpacking his stuff. He already had the kitchen stuff set up, and ready for use. All he had to do now was to put his clothes away, and find a place for his telescope. He shivered slightly. Something felt off for some reason. Maybe he'll put that somewhere tomorrow night. But something in his mind is nagging him to go star gazing right now. The urge was strong, but he didn't really feel like it. However he slowly walked over the the telescope that laid in the corner. "It... can wait" he said, but the urge to star gaze was far too strong. He just had to take the telescope, and go look at the stars.

Jaq watched as Veronica walked off, looking rather confused. What did she mean like that? And why did she decide to polish her plastic fangs today? Soon deciding that she wouldn't get an answer, she promptly shrugged and went over to pack her painting supplies up. She finished her snack and it was time to go home, it seemed.

Ticvor had the telescope set up. But it wasn't a good time for star gazing since it was still a little too bright to do go. He decided it could wait until another night. Since he was really tired from the trip he decided the best course now would be to sleep.
So he made his way back into the house. But because of the exhaustion he ended up sleeping on the couch instead of his bed. It was actually quite conformable. Then again he was used to sleeping on them all the time. So like him couches were not very different to beds for him.
In fact his parents forced him to sleep on the couch all the time. They seemed to have seem too lazy to at least invest in another bed. But thinking about it now... where would they have put it. It was a one bedroom house after all. But it wouldn't have been hard to build a new room right?
He pulled a light blanket over himself and slowly fell asleep.

[529 / 509 Bikki]
Vincent looked out his front window, the one facing the street. He went out and admired his flowers for a while, before wandering down the street and staring at the gardens of his neighbors. He stopped and was crouched, pulling weeds out of an untended garden very near his house. This was the house that was just sold to someone. I wonder if they are going to take care of this beautiful lawn... He wondered idly. Looking over his shoulder quickly, he checked the moon, which was a quarter full and he knew it but he had to check.

Jaq was just arriving at her place when she spotted Vincent across the street, playing with plants again it seemed. She offered a quick good evening and a small wave before going on to put her portable easel away and to refill her empty plastic paint containers. Unlike most human sims around, Jaq always tried to stay up as late as possible - usually by reading up on paranormals or actually "investigating" paranormal activity - before eventually conking out somewhere random and waking up in the afternoon.

[skipping to the morning]
It was roughly 8:00 AM when the sun hit Ticvor's face. Slowly his eyes opened. He had another dream about alien babies. It was weird, But it didn't matter because it was a new day of his new life. Its going to be awesome.
He went into the kitchen to prepare cereal with coffee. He wasn't sure how to cook just yet, so he'd try that later after reading a book about it.
As he ate his food he checked for job openings. He picked a part-time position at a diner.

Vincent's house was a large area of land, with a very small building: One bedroom, one bathroom, a stove, TV, and couch and that was it. The rest of his home was a large garden with lots of trees to hide among with lots of animals and even a small pond or two... His water bill outrageously high, but he didn't really use the electricity and had plenty of money, so it all worked out. Vincent stood up and stretched, he had fallen asleep beneath the trees next to the pond -he enjoyed sleeping there, he once saw a kelpie in the water. He got up and wandered around. He started an extra sprinkler around a "fairie circle" (a clump of mushrooms) before meandering around the city.
