The Evil Overlord: Trial 1 {The Entrance} [Begins :P]

After hearing another alarm go off and seeing familiar winged shapes, but more this time. "Boogeymons again, seven of them this time. Warp Digivolve Guilmon, make it quick." Guilmon nodded before being covered in a familiar digicode cocoon, but larger. Guilmon Warp Digivolve to... WarGrowlmon." WarGrowlmon looked at the seven Boogeymons before growling out "Atomic Blaster". Two beams erupted from WarGrowlmon's chest toward the Boogeymons. Only two were able to dive under the beams, leaving the rest to take the beams directly and bursting into data. Though they survived the beam, the rushing winds from it pushed them to the ground. With a loud roar of "Radiation Blade" the boosters in WarGrowlmon's robotic torso came to life and pushed him toward the last two Boogeymons while the blades in his arms glowed. While the last two Boogeymons were trying to stand up, they saw WarGrowlmon closing in fast. But before they could move out of the way, WarGrowlmon rushed past both of them and slicing them in half. They both exploded into data as WarGrowlmon dedigivoled back into Guilmon. "Good job buddy, but we should really try not to raise any more alarms, okay?" Guilmon nodded and jogged after James, who already got a start on leaving the area.

Ethan moved forward behind Guile who had decided he was going to lead the way no matter what, despite Ethans protests who just sighed and gave in to the Red Digimons argument. He had watched as some of the others had set of alarms and he said softly." Im betting we are next Guile. You better be prepared." And as they walked over this weird looking bridge, it was like a metallic bridge over a pit of spikes, which seemed to appear quite literally out of nowhere under him, Guilemon began to shake the bridge laughing," Ethannnn, don't look down!" Ethan grabbed the two bars holding the bridge up, and said," Stop it Guile! You know I'm afraid of heights!" The Red Virus type laughed hard and continued to do so, oddly enough they didn't set off any alarms. The brown haired teen hurried and began to push Guilmon off the bridge to the other side saying," Move.Move.Move.Move." " You act like this every time we go across a bridge! Why are you so afraid of heights you chicken!?" Ethan bit his lip when they were across and he was breathing hard to which Guilmon gave him a focused look not changing the subject," I dont know okay? I don't remember." Guilmon growled not believing him and turned around and continued on,"hey wait up!" He followed now sighing.

Alistair and his Elecmon, Ames, had gotten lost on a trail while exploring. Eventually the two had come up the long path of rock to a mansion. The two thought they would be arriving for a random exploration and noticed a bunch of other trainers at the front. Alistair was in shock to see so many other tamers in one spot and watched a display as a red haired tamer scared off a bunch of Devimon. This group seemed to know what they were doing, so Alistair and Ames decided to join in on the little adventure, regardless of Alistairs slight social-phobia.

"Hey boss, let's follow these people, they seem to know what they're doing." The little Elecmon said nodding towards a tamer with a Guilmon. Alistair kept a far distance from the guy and his Guilmon, which was now a WarGrowlmon, and let the two set off a few traps to make sure the coast was clear every now and then. Alistair felt like either a ninja spying or a stalker.

The Elecmon and tamer were doing fine following the group ahead of them and eventually stopped paying attention to their surroundings. Alistair walked slowly and was pressed against the wall as if he was trying to hide, when he walked right under some strange camera around the next corner. It began to buzz as it scanned him and Ames' heat signatures. There was an eerie cackle coming from the wall Alistair was standing against and the wall panned to the side like an electric door. Alistair could feel a sharp p***k in his back as the pitchfork of a Boogeymon poked him hard in the back. The boy cringed and nearly cussed as he jumped forward and turned to see the Digimon facing him with a vicious sneer.
"Don't worry, sir. I got this! Sparkling Thunder." Ames muttered willing to fight to protect his barely injured tamer. A few glimmers of light appeared above the Boogeymon as quick jolts of lighting shot down at the target. It did a little damage and only angered Boogeymon. A few more walls panned open too as five more Boogeymon appeared. Elecmon continued his Sparkling Thunder, but they were at a higher level than he was. At this point the person they were following probably would have heard the commotion they had caused.

D continued on, seeing that only one Tamer, James, had neared the progress he made to the castle, as he made his way closer, still ensuring that there wasn't a single hitch to his plan, advancing much more away from the group and closer to the castle. He scaled the castle with his eyes, seeing of what a feat it would be to achieve entering and vanquishing the evil that was in, for he didn't want to simply take out any Digimon, nor did he want to entirely destroy simply "evil" Digimon, as they always could have a true change of heart. He clenched onto his Digivice as he moved onward, like a knight keeping their hand on their sheath, remaining to maintain his stealth and sight of the dim lasers on the ground, and kept himself at a close distance to the castle, yet protected behind a crag once more and still in the cover of the darkness. As he took a short while to look back at the other Tamers, he could see that they were all keeping their Digimon outside of their Digivice, perhaps that was why it was easier for him to maneuver in the darkness alone, although his Digimon was still with him in his Digivice, rather than travelling with them outside of it like the others.

He felt a cold breeze pass by him, as his attention was brought back to the castle. The demeanor of such a structure, and the extremely elaborate traps set out not even relatively near it, the Digimon that resides within this building must be intent on not having any visitors at all. D thought momentarily remembering how far he had traveled, and seeing how much more he had to go, he knew that he was more than 70 percent of the way already. He was still contemplating whether on not he should trigger an alarm to test his mettle against this first trial, but if he didn't, he surely would be ready for whatever would come his way on the next one. Keeping his head hidden, he looked forward, viewing the different dimly coloured lights, most probably pertaining to the different types of Digimon that they would have to encounter if they were to trip on anyone of them. A slight smile came unto D's face, thinking strategically of how he would be able to continue onward, as he planned his next move, simply waiting for the right time.

"Okay fine, I'll let you out, just stop trying to break out of the digivice." Kutay said as he held up his digivice and released Candlemon from the digivice. I'll probably regret this though. Kutay thought to himself as Candlemon was fully released from the digivice.

"It's about time!" Candlemon said as soon as he was able to, clearly upset at both the fact he was stuck in the digivice and that he got muted, "Onward we've got to be the first ones there Kutay." Candlemon said completely changing the subject from his being rather angry at Kutay to storming the enemies base as soon as possible. This desire to go as fast as they could with little regard to their surroundings lead to Candlemon's 2nd heat detector trap tripping, which he probably would have realized if he was paying any amount of attention to his surroundings as it was in a fairly obvious place.

This time however, insted of the heat detector alerting Boogeymon, it alerted 5 of the ultimate leveled NeoDevimon, who didn't seem so happy that a group had managed to get so far, but then again it was hard to judge the emotions of something whose face was hidden behind a mask, but by the fact they were there was enough to say they hadn't appeared for a friendly conversation. Without any words between them, one raised its claw and they clearly understood the message given, Kill Him, and with that they all advanced and began their attack.

"I hate my life, Candlemon I just want you to know, I blame you for this." Kutay said as he saw the digimon that had been alerted by this heat detector. "However, we can't afford to lose here though, Candlemon I need you to digivolve to Boltmon to do this." Kutay said as he prepared his Digi-soul once again, however this time it was much stronger and brighter than the time Candlemon warp digivolved into SkullMeramon. "D.N.A. Charge Overdrive!" Kutay said releasing all the Digi-soul he had accumulated into his digivice in order to digivolve Candlemon to the mega level.

"Candlemon Double Warp to....Boltmon!" Candlemon said as he digivolved straight to the mega level skipping the champion and ultimate levels. "Tomahawk Steiner." Boltmon would say as he took the tomahawk from his back and charged forward to engage the NeoDevimon in a battle. Charging in, Boltmon managed to cut one in half and eliminate it, however then one of the NeoDevimon used its special attack, Guilty Claw and struck Boltmon in the arm wounding him,but that wouldn't stop him, Boltmon just kept cutting down the NeoDevimon so that Kutay and he could get into the castle.

After the fight, Boltmon was badly injured, to the point where he did not object to being put back in to the digivice, especially because they had reached their destination, "Well as far as I can tell we were the first ones here Boltmon. Hooray for the." Kutay said as he slumped down and rested while waiting for the other tamers to join him.  

[Ethan Kirito Soul]

Guile and Ethan had just gotten off that bridge and then they ended up tripping one of the alarms, quite literally Guile had tripped Ethan with his tail and he rolled right into the Heat Detectors, his body heat immediately triggered the alarm and 7 Boogeymon ran forward, 3 of them were flying towards them, Guile growled at Ethan who was starting to stand" you see what you humans cause!" Ethan sighed softly not even trying to argue with his Digimon, which he quite literally said," Guilmon, I'm not even going to try and argue with you. Especially considering the seven Evil looking Digimon heading our way!" Ethan jumped back and pulled out his steel rod, he knew he wasnt that strong compared to Guilmon or basically any other Digimon except for the fresh and in training ones. And when one of the Boogeymon got close Guile ran forward his eyes darkening and he opened his mouth sending out a raging ball of flames,"PyroSphere!" And the orb went flying and the flying Boogeymon dodged it but it hit one of the ones running forward with a stroke of luck and it tossed its Trident forward at Guile who by then was charging another Pyrosphere in his mouth, Ethan pushed his steel rod forward in between the Forks of the Digimons Trident and forced it back, he moved out of Guiles way as the next Pyrosphere fired and collided with the Boogeymon and knocked him back, Guilemon charged and fired two more Pyrospheres into the same two who were knocked down and they were seen being blown against the walls, not being deleted but they did dedigivolve to Impmon. Guile was going to fire at them again putting a end to them but Ethan kicked him as another trident had been coming forward and he rolled out of the way," Move! " Ethan yelled when he kicked Guile to the side and dodged the tridents only barely. The Red Virus type growled when he was forced aside and ran forward at the Boogeymon going for his trident "Fire Strike!" Guilmons claws on his arms burst into flames and he sliced through the Boogeymon making its body rise into the air and he sliced again leaving a X and then jumped and slapped it with his tail, the poor Boogeymon howled and was knocked into the Wall beside Ethan. This time it didnt dedigivolve but it vanished into Data. Ethan frowned at this and glared at Guile who shrugged before being sliced by one of the other Boogeymon. There was four left and they all pushed their Tridents together now and a dark blast was beginning to form and they growled out," Devil Blast!" They fired a strong wave of Black Energy towards the Tamer and his Digimon who growled out and Ethan moved forward quickly and said,"Guile! Do it...NOW!" Right when the wave was getting close (apparently it was quite slow moving considering how it was made.) Ethan dove under the wave it scorching the back of his coat and he rolled in between the 4 Boogeymon ending up behind them.Guile had fired a strong Pyrosphere into the dark wave it spread the Dark Wave protecting Guile who gave a menacing grin," You missed." It exploded behind them hitting the steel bridge and the walls there and Guile dashed forward growling out," Dino Breaker!" Guilmon jumped into the air and rolled and when two of the boogeymon began to move to dodge the seemingly attack Ethan pushed the Steel rod into the back of their legs causing them to fall back and he said," Not a chance! " As long as the Digimon weren't deleted Ethan seemed okay with fighting them. and Guilmon landed his claws smashing into the two boogeymon Ethan knocked down ad they collapsed and the ground under them rumbled being a strong attack that seemed as though a Tyrannomon had stomped into the ground. And they dedegivolved, into Impmon which made Guile growl and go to give another finishing blow but Ethan stopped him,"Death Crash!" The two remaining Digimon jabbed their Tridents forward and Guile and Ethan barely evaded getting slashed on their arms. While Guile was cut on the arm, Ethan was knocked back with his chest being scratched almost stabbed. He touched his scratched chest and ripped shirt saying," Looks like I'm gonna need a new shirt..." Guilmon growled and his arms burst into flames again and he lunged forward,"Fire Strike! Pyrosphere!" His mouth opened charging the blast right after the Boogeymon dashed back having seen the attack before and was suddenly hit with Guilmons sudden blast of fire, being taken out by it. The other Boogeymon was flying towards Ethan seeing Guiles attacks as a perfect opportunity to attack. It twisted its trident before plunging it forward, Ethan with wide eyes detached his Steel Rod,considering it was a Collapsible bow staff he pushed the two in between the trident like he did when he first guarded and he pushed his foot forward stopping it from piercing his neck which it was really close to doing so,luckily the Boogeymons reach wasnt too good, but it opened its mouth and a screech was heard, Ethan suddenly felt dizzy and it drew the trident back. And the moment he pushed forward Guile had smashed the Demon Man Digimon int the ground using Rock Breaker. And then it dedigivolved into a Impmon, unconscious and laying there Ethan moved it aside saying," Guile. Do not.Delete them." Guile growled at him and Ethan walked to Guiles side when he was done saying," okay lets continue." They headed forward going the direction the Boogeymon had came from, he turned back seeing the other Tamers and wondered if theyd be coming this way to or heading their own way. Making it out of the alarm field.

Another alarm and more digimon. Both James and Guilmon sighed at the same time. Both of them looked up expecting Boogeymons, but were a little surprised at seeing DemiDevimons. James and Guilmon looked at each other before nodding. "Okay buddy, they only sent five Rookies at us. No need to digivolve, but don't go too easy on them." Guilmon nodded before turning to the DemiDevimon. Guilmon shouted out "Pyro Sphere" and launched salvos at the DemiDevimon. Them being smaller made them harder to hit, but one still took a direct hit and exploded. The other four gathered togther, and with cries of "Demi Dart", they launched barrages of syringes. Both James and Guilmon were dodging left and right before hiding behind a large rock. "Okay Guilmon, I'll distract them and you hit them hard." Guilmon nodded before James ran out from behind the rock, attracting the DemiDevimons' attention and fire. While James was dodging for his life, Guilmon shouted out "Rock 'n' Roll Breaker" before spinning and drilling the DemiDevimon group apart before landing on his feet. As Guilmon turned, he fired Pyro Blasters at the downed digimon. James walked up to Guilmon and patting his partner digimon's snout. They both nodded and walked for toward the dark, gloomy and rocky castle in the distance.

D watched as James went on to trigger another trap that brought out DemiDevimon, while he was further away, he knew it was time for him to join in all of the battling action as he came to the very end of the area, and triggered one of the last traps before setting foot at the entrance of the building. A group of Champion level devilish Devimon flocked towards him, with evil intent. Not hesitating for a second, he spun his Digivice out from his pocket into his hand, calling forth his Guilmon to realize from within it onto the battlefield that the area now became. "Now!" he exclaimed, as Guilmon formed, rushing already into one of the five Devimon that were released.

"Rock Breaker!" it announced, as it crashed into the Devimon, making contact, but not without also taking out two more Devimon that were beside the main target. As it got up with a glare, the three were still out of it, not know what had just hit them. "Pyro Sphere!" Guilmon roared, launching it's power blasts several times at the two Devimon that still were aloft, but not for long, as they were brought down with the fiery blasts. Finally, as the three Devimon that had been tackled down by the Rock Breaker got to their feet once more, Guilmon's eyes stared at them darkly almost, instilling fear itself into them, only uttering it's attack: "Sharp Claws!" The three Devimon were struck right where they stood, baffled by what had happened, and destroyed right as the powerful jabs from Guilmon had pierced through their feeble bodies. As the two Devimon's that remained who'd be shot down by fire mustered what they could to launch Dark Claw attacks at Guilmon, it intercepted them with its Sharp Claws once again, and overcoming the power of two Champion Digimon by performing Rock Breaker once more. Once the contact between the two Champion Digimon and Guilmon was broken, it launched a final attack. "Guil Shot!" it's voice rang into the air, but not too loud to bring any unwanted attention. The two Devimon were struck down by the rapid fire, much more faster than Pyro Sphere had been, and succumbed to their injuries, joining the other three Devimon as floating data. Guilmon basked in it's victory, absorbing the data into it's being, looking towards D with a trusting nod, as it returned back to the Digivice.

D and Guilmon had made sure that the fight took place behind a large rocky crag so the castle dwellers would hopefully have not noticed too much, and it had provided some secrecy as well. The Pryo Sphere and Guil Shot were launched from close distances, providing with a less of a chance of the fire from being seen from afar, by the Tamers or castle dweller. He viewed the castle from the closest he'd ever been to it so far, from behind the crag that the battle had occurred. He knew that something big was happening, and it was up to them to stop whatever evil that may come of it. He hid his Digivice once again, with it being unseen, but now in the clear of the alarms. Now all that remained was for the others to catch up with them.

I'm walking the road to dawn...

Marco and Veemon nearly jumped out of their skins after being startled by a voice who seemed to be growing louder and louder. Marco and Veemon turned around, both eyes open wide, and stared at a brown-haired girl who seemed to be quite excited about something she saw. Giant wing? Did she see his wing? Marco nearly blushed, no one had ever seen his wings before (except for his digimon) so having this girl taking to him so animatedly about his shame was different. However, she was still talking too loud and she didn't seem to notice the level of volume her voice had reached. Marco was surprised, but at the same time he really needed to find a way to silence her, didn't she know this was an infiltration mission? Marco groaned and then stepped forward placed his hand over her mouth with his other hand on the base of her back. "Be quiet!" he yelled in a whispered-like voice. Suddenly the alarms started going off again.

BEEP...BEEP...BEEP

Marco looked around, did they activated some alarm? But there was no speakers on this hall how did they manage to active a detector? He looked down at the ground and noticed that his foot on caught between a red laser. While he walked over to the girl to stop her talking, he accidentally stepped on one of the laser detectors and now another swarm of R.I.P digimon were sure to come. "Marco, there are Devimon coming!" and there it was, his confirmation. He glared at the girl momentarily before grabbing her wrist and pulling her along, "run." They both started running, Marco could already hear the Devimon's wings flapping as they flew towards the triggers of the detector. Veemon tugged on the Kamemon's arm to signal him to move before he chased after his tamer.

Marco didn't looking back, but he could still hear the Devimon and they're psychotic screams and laughter. He wouldn't be able to avoid them like he did with the Myotismon not while they were both in plane sight and the group was much larger now so he didn't only have to worry about himself and Veemon, but also the brown-haired girl and her turtle digimon.

His legs were feeling heavy meaning he was already reaching his limit. He stopped and reach back to take his digivice from one of his pockets. "Veemon, digivolve!" Marco shouted as he held his digivice out while his hand was surrounded by small pieces of blue data. Veemon took off Marco's jacket and threw it up in the air before his digivolution began.

"Veemon digivolve to...Veedramon!" Veemon's child-like voice changed into a threatening roar while his body glowed. His figure began small, but then grew bigger. His muscles increased and horns appeared from his head while his horn nose grew bigger. Once the transformation was over Veedramon roared and caught Marco's jacket with his large tail. "V-Nova Blast!" Veedramon shot a ray of heat from his mouth towards the group of Devimon. The devils covered in black shot a blast from their hands which clashed with Veedramon's attack causing an explosion to happen. Marco shielded the girl with his body as the hall was filled with smoke, some of the walls were damaged. Marco took this opportunity to summon his black wing again as he leaned against the wall and covered himself along with the girl. He placed his hand over her mouth and whispered for her to be silent. Veedramon de-digivolved back to his rookie form taking the opportunity to hide himself. He grabbed Marco's black jacket and then ran towards Kamemon; the black jacket was actually quite big for him so he used that in order to wrap both himself and Kamemon. He yelled 'duck' and then covered him and Kamemon with Marco's jacket. This was the same strategy they used with the Myotismon and once the smoke was cleared they were both completely concealed.

"Where did those punks go?" "I bet we killed them with that blast!" "Yeah their ashes are probably scattered all over this hall!" "Haha! Do you think that their ghosts will haunt this hall now?" "Shut up dude! That would be scary!" "All of you shut it, we need to keep moving."

Marco was panting, his heart beating as he held the girl close to his chest. He didn't want to move, not until those voices faded away. Once he couldn't hear them anymore, the black wing unwrapped itself from Marco and the girl. Veemon stood up and took the black jacket away from him and Kamemon. He handed the jacket back to Marco who stood up and pulled his arms away from the girl. The black wing was still hovering over them before it disappeared in a flash of a dark-red light leaving behind only a few black feathers that seemed to have fallen off. Marco stared at the girl and then looked away, "what are you doing here?" He questioned her returning his gaze to her, his sharp eyes locking with hers. Veemon quickly interfered, "what he means is! Is why aren't you with the other group?"

Nikky fell to the ground on her knees exhausted panting from all that running. Still forgetting that she was currently assigned with the mission of infiltrating R.I.P’s base she calmly replied: “I asked you some questions first.” She then picked up one of the black feathers from the ground and stared at the young man waiting for answers. “What is this made out of and how did you make that black wing that hid us materialize out of thin air?” As she was about to ask him another slew of question, Kukkii tugged at Nikky’s backpack advising her to stop. “T.P.O, my friend. T.P.O.” he quietly whispered into her ear as he held out his paw to help her up. Blood suddenly rushed to her face when she realized how she was acting. I can’t believe I got distracted so easily. She repeated these words on loop in her head. The now beat-red faced girl went into the seiza postion and deeply bowed toward the dark-haired tamer and his partner before she took her partner’s paw to stand. “I’m so sorry for my behavior sir! I didn’t even introduce myself. My name is Nikky Ohno and this is my partner Kukki the Kamemon. Thank you so much for saving us back there!” she said as she bowed continuously, avoiding eye contact. Kukkii snickered at his ally’s awkward movements only to be put to a stop by Nikky’s glare forcing him to bow as well.

As Kiryu slowly proceeded with caution he couldn't help himself from worrying. They had already taken some damage from the battle earlier which put them in a bad position. As they slowly walked another alarm began to go off. Kiryu looked around for cameras, but he failed to find any. Finally he spotted a different type of detector. It was a heat based device. Suddenly about 10 Boogeymon began to flood the room making it much harder to battle. ''We have to go through this again,'' Hawkmon was not looking in the greatest condition from the pitchforks earlier, "We should just end this quickly. Come Sleipmon!" Suddenly the Hawkmon was once again swallowed by the blinding light. The Boogeymon saw this as a chance and began to stick their own pitchforks into the light. The light slowly started to fade, however at the very last moment the light shattered revealing a Sleipmon.

Sleipmon stood in the middle of the room with a proud and stern look. It wielded the mighty Múspellsheimr and Niflheimr which gave out an intense intimidation. The Boogeymon however were not affected by the intimidation and began to charge in similar to how the Phelsemon moved. Sleipmon however knew better than to fall for the same trick and shot an arrow straight at a Boogeymon. Immediately the Boogeymon shattered from the sheer force of the arrow. The Boogeymon ignored the fact that one of their own kind was just deleted and began to throw their forks. Apparently they were enchanted to set ablaze on contact. Luckily Sleipmon had the advantage of speed with its six legs and avoided the forks. Some of the flames had scorched Sleipmon, but due to being adjusted to the icy type of weather the flames felt like nothing more than an ant bite. Sleipmon began to lose patience and pointed its arrow at a single Boogeymon. At this point it might have been over. The Boogeymon held no hesitation and charged straight in with Death Crash. The Sleipmon shouted, "Bifrost!" A single arrow had been launched from Múspellsheimr, however it soon exploded when it hit the first Boogeymon which soon spread onto the other Boogeymons. Suddenly all that was left was a pile of ice and broken pitchforks. "Let's be cautious while travel with your speed." The Sleipmon suddenly degenerated into an Aquilamon and Kiryu jumped onto it. Aquilamon then took off towards farther into the castle.

After about 15 minutes of beating up the 6 Boogeymon, Elecmon was tired and wasn't sure if he could go further. During the entire fight, the two hadn't realized the alarm they set off had reset itself. Without trying to waste time, the two hurried down the path after the guild with Growlmon. They were far gone though at this point. The heat scanner set off again just as it had before. The familiar cackling of the Boogeymon was heard as 6 more appeared from the walls.

"Alistair, I'm not sure if I can handle any more." Ames said wearily. He could digivolve, but in this tight corridor there would be no room. Alistair bit his lip as he tried to think of his options. He quickly picked up the Elecmon, struggling to carry him, and tried running down a fork in the corridor. Ames was a lot heavier than Alistair had imagined and had to stop every few feet or so which really didn't help their problem of the following Boogeymon.
"Don't worry Ames, you don't need to fight anymore. We might be able to lose them...." Alistair said panting as he sat down Elecmon and picked him back up after catching his breath. He ran down a few stairs on the path he was on and passed a turn in one of the halls where the other tamers were. He was focused on running from the Boogeymon at the moment until Ames could get his strength back.
