A vein popped on the dragon's forehead. "Yeah! Remove your stupid curse or what have you and I'll give you one you'll never forget!" Of course Kai wanted to slash her to ribbons right now and be on his way.

"I'll consider it when you aren't so intent on killing me." the woman said sweetly, keeping a smile like sugar and the appearance of grace and gentleness - which probably couldn't be any further from the truth.

Kai grumbled and sat cross legged beside her, resting his chin in one hand. "Well congrats, you got yourself a dragon, as reluctant as he is. Now what?"

"Adventure, of course." With that, she began to kick some dirt into the campfire, quickly killing the flame. "Is there anything you'd like to go by?" she asked, uncertain if dragons had given names or not.

The dragon just kind of glared at her, something he'd be doing until he decided to stop sulking. "Kai." he said simply.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Kai." The elf smiled, and instead of introducing herself in return, she motioned for him to follow her and started walking in what seemed like a totally random direction.

"And? Got a name or shall I just keep going down m list of names to call human females?" Kai grumbled as he reluctantly followed, if only because he'd probably get shocked again if he didn't.

"Erfina." she simply said, continuing on without giving him so much as a passing glance. "How much do you know about species aside from your own?" she then asked him, thinking he might either not care or know little to nothing of elvish folk. Elves and humans looked alike, certainly, but this was honestly the first time she'd ever been confused for a human.

Kai just gave her a flat look. "I'm a dragon; if it's smaller than me when I'm full size, then it's food. That's it."

Barely stifling back a laugh, Erfina responded, "Very well. I was just curious." She saw no need to enlighten him for the moment being. His ignorance was amusing.

"You don't have to call me that if you don't want to." Erfina pointed out, finally looking back at the dragon as she continued to walk along. Somehow, she managed to walk backwards and face Kai without tripping over herself or bumping into any trees.

Kai gave a frustrated sigh. "That was sarcasm, or couldn't you tell? Just because I can't hurt you doesn't mean I have to show you respect."

Honestly, she couldn't. Erfina, at home, was called things like mistress or princess or whatever term of respect they could come up with - whether they liked her or not. And with her habit of pissing off pretty much anyone she could for sport and amusement, more often than not their terms of respect were laced with no small amount of bitterness. "Just letting you know." she said, looking honestly a little relieved to hear him say so. "How do you feel about looking through tombs for ancient treasures? Or gaining prestige and more riches of the magical sort courtesy of the elves?"

There was a glimmer in Kai's eyes, his ears twitching at the sound of riches. He was trying hard not to smile, but it was showing pretty easily. The dragon in him couldn't say no to riches, that much was certain. "Well....I do need to build up my horde of treasure again...."
