The game ends with a never ending ending like a lot of other games, including KH1, so I don't think it saves

You can't save after you beat the game.
That's the way it is with most RPG style games anyway. Usually (as is the case in KH) your last save is soon before the final boss, so if you go back to the game after you beat it you'll be starting from there.

thats how it ends thats why you have to restart the game when it this "the end" now i have never seen the alternet ending but if it did let you save at that point you would be stuck on the island and could not go back to other worlds they all end completely like KH 1, chain of memories, KH 2, saints row enchanted arms to i think

~Just a second....It's one of the many, MANY games in this world that you can't save once you've beat it... ....I have to go find something to beat you to death with~

The ending of the storyline requires the termination of gameplay.
Meaning, when all's well that ends well, there's no more story to play for. So, the game just ends.

You can' t save it.
The whole point of that is if you want to go back and wanna collect the secret ending, get the ultima weapon and finish the whole game with 100% so to speak.

no you cant save at the end of the game...unlike teh FF series ( well X-2 as far as i know) where you can start a new game plus
it pisses me off
