Yeah, Playstation has way more RPGs. I'm more into those sort of games. Yes, the system is pricy, but I'm not going to go out and buy it until it goes down in price, but I will definately get the system.

I'm not getting a PS3. Way too expensive, and no games that appeal to me. I'll stick with Nintendo.

It really depends on one of my favoret games. If it comes out on PS3, I can save up because I have a job now. If it comes out on PS2, I rather not spend the cash.

Nadian One reason that many many many people keep missing to not get the PS3 is to avoid the Sony brand name in general. Many things are problems that you get from normal companies, but the Sony rootkit incident took a huge step over the immoral line. For those unaware, for about a year (possibly inaccurate) Sony intentionally released CDs with a rootkit on it (code that forces its way into an operating system's core components to change fundamental properties.) Here's SYMANTEC's (makers of Norton Antivirus) entry on it: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/securityrisk.aries.htmlNote a few things: -It installs without permission (according to Symantec) -Its hiding of files and entries starting with $sys$ create a HUGE security hole since anybody or anything can then take advantage of this. (IE, another virus writer could simply start their filenames with $sys$ to stay undetectable to the user) -REMOVING IT MANUALLY CAN DAMAGE THE USER'S OS AND VOID THEIR WARRANTY It is atrocious that a company would intentionally invade and damage a LEGITIMATE customer's PROPERTY all in the name of their religious war against filesharing. (Anybody who thinks this is okay would be willing to have people break into their room while they're away just to make sure there's no drugs in there, right?) However, the mere fact that they did this was not the only disgusting thing Sony did in this matter. Others include -Lying about the software actually installed in the EULA (by not explicitly saying they were invading the computer with invisible software) -After being found out higher-ups claimed it didn't need to be addressed because the average joe didn't know what a rootkit was -Once the message really began spreading they started releasing a patch to "fix" it, still underplaying the problem, stopping their production to "think" about the problem instead of initiating an immediate recall like they should have Disgusting and terrible. I avoid the brand name now because I don't want to give such an immoral company my money any more. Sure, they take a hit whenever a PS3 is bought, right? Actually, they take a hit for two reasons instead of one this time around (IE more than just to make it up with games) and that means that if you're avoiding the company you have twice the reason not to get the system. The other reason is their Blu-ray format. They're really looking to get a hold on next-generation HD media. Personally, I wouldn't trust it in what I view as the hands of as greedy a company as Sony. Then again, I'm also not going to support HD-DVD, either, since both use that atrocious "downgrade signal quality" AACS flag crap. (Oh, sure, they say they're not going to use it now, but Sony has only dedicated themselves to not using it for the next 4 years so that it gets market penetration... oh wow, submarine customer rape... how evil) Anyways, that last bit was a little bit off-topic (me ranting about the idiocy of next-gen media.) Ah, YES. The ultimate reason to grind sony into the dust. **Coughs.** I liked the original Playstation, and still have a bunch of games for it that if I could get a new PS I would. I like Kingdom Hearts on PS2. Honestly. . . other than that, I'm quite happy with my XBox. Niche shooters ((Mechwarrior, and today's Chromehounds release.)), Flight Sims ((Some of the best on console.)), action RPGs ((Read: Fable.)) And just a bunch of random stuff that keeps me entertained. So, yeah, I won't be getting a PS3, Especially at that price.

I will get the PS3 only and only if Kingdom Hearts 3 is release on that system, even though KH3 will not come out until about 2011. and that sucks. it will be about the keyblade war.

Although I am biast cause I think sony has no redeeming qualities as a video game company I will give you my opinion on some of your reasons.
First of all the graphics, has anyone actually played the PS3? No offence but Sony has a habbit of... well bending the truth as does other companys.
The price is horrid, except you are technically buying a computer, but on the other side of the fence it will be the most expensive system to date even surpassing the 3DO including games which they have price checked up to 100$, and what did the president of Sony say about this? Basicly he said, "So? I'm not paying for it."
The controller, Ive never liked their button layout as it doesnt really work for people with larger hands or fingers. Also wether youll admit it or not Sony did steal the idea from Nintendo... 2 weeks from the show to get the tech and by the show it wasnt even fully debugged?
Online will be great now that they are using the live interface, except for one problem, it took Microsoft 4 years to work out the bugs for live, odds are Sony will take at least 2 years to tweak it while Live still will be pulling strong.
Speaking of stealing Sony in and of itself is quite a dishonest company, the Playstation was an add-on to a Nintendo system. The PS2 was also a joint project though the second companys name is escaping my mind at the moment. The PS3 is also borrowing alot.
Lastly games. The games of Sony do not appeal to me except 2 franchises; Kingdom Hearts and .//Hack. Sony's system has been good for RPGs and thats about it. Wether the fanboys admit it or not the Xbox had better graphics and was better for almost every other genre (case exceptions allowed.) The Gamecube was alot smoother and did have alot shorter load times, not to mention who doesnt love at least 1 Nintendo franchise?
Thats my two cents, take it or leave it.

I hate Sony. mad They steal ideas. They eat babies. They are money hungry. They need to stop revamping character designs and giving perfectly acceptable characters ''darker new looks''
They seem to forget, just because your system looks good, it's still a peice of s**t in a golden wrapper.
At least Nintendo breaks new ground and tries new things, no one can call them on that, even the XBox fanboys.
I say again, I hate Sony. WII60!

Insane prisoner I'm getting it. Most of the first wave games appeal to me I support Blu-Ray Wii bores me. You haven't even PLAYED a Wii! There's no way that you can say that Wii bores you and make sense! And as for bebop_edward, I like big old long posts. I agree with pretty much everything you said... Seriously though, PS3 is a good system, it's just too damned expensive. And the games, if you ask me, are crap. Most, anyway.
