My physics teacher was glad to see Pluto go, I as an astrologist was not... crying , but it's not that much of a loss we can still use it to tell fortunes anyway. sweatdrop

Wow, thanks for posting that article. It was informative and still amusing at the same time. I was really surprised back when this happened and kinda sad and practically outraged.. which turned into indifference mingled with a little sadness. Now, I accept it more fully upon seeing the facts lol so yeah, thanks again for posting! 3nodding ^_^

When I first heard that Pluto was no longer a planet, I reacted on many levels. My primary emotion was curiousity.

Even just for scientific reasons, it's interseting. Until now, I didn't know why the decision had been made. Between the possable effect on the supernatural viewpoint, and the overall public outcry, the physcological effect is fascenating. Especially when you take into consideration that Pluto was the Roman name for Hades...the god of death. Every science now, even astronomy, has found some way to give death a little "take that" heh. Amusing, no?

pluto has simply ended up in a different class now...its a "dwarf planet". Jupiter is a giant planet ...wonder how they will define other planet and the universe in the futhur smile

and yea, i was actually thinking about historical references to pluto..like mentioned, pluto being hades. i don't think it'll change the dynamics of the 'dwarf planet' being a part of ..um..ahem..astrology, tarot reading, the likes. science merely changed its title in teh registry..but def not the elements.
