Rosa scratched her head slightly. The arcanine smiled. "My trainer ended up joining into a battle and I didn't want her or Kleely, my espeon friend, to get hurt. That's why. Actually she got into an arguement the the spiritomb over there." She said pointing. She scratched her head again making herself look adorable. "Hi, I'm Rosa."

((i edited it. i honestly didn't think curse would take tht much, plus spiritomb is dark and ghost which means nightshade wouldn't do barely anything.))

((It makes sense, but ghost on ghost is on a 1X multiplier and seemed to pass first. There are even ways to make psychic and fighting types super effective. Link to Spiritomb's moves, weaknesses, strength and other stats. Of course, i also pushed my research on the move curse which is here presented, if you wish to confirm yourself =J)) Hugo took the hit, greatly reducing his health, but still was left alive. It was apparent he was under leveled for this battle. Rock could only hope that Bell would be quick enough to bring Luke to him. Hugo bared his teeth, simply using night shade again. Rock had to try at this point, the spiritomb would have about perhaps 1/3 to 3/8 of his health left if his calculations were right. Thank god for curse... he thought as he got his ultra ball. Please, let this work... Rock thought hard as he threw the ball at the spiritomb.((He would technically be able to do another move if he gets out of the pokeball. That's using the idea of pokemon game being turn based. I've also verified through sites and curse isn't removed from using a full restore as it doesn't change the stats, it only hurts every turn. =/ Yes, I'm a big poke-nerd, I know XD)) ((Where are you Molly? =P))

"No I don't know why... Nice to meet you Samantha. That's a pretty name." She said as she looked back to the other pokemon who were battling. Even if they were ghosts, Chrystal seemed to like Rock even a little, and she was worried that he might get hurt. So she kept close attention to the trainer.

Since you posted that your character avoided battles, judging form hugo being a ghastly still, and you have about 5 badges. 'forgot how many you actually had.' i would say he is roughly about level thirty to 40, therefore night shade would do that much damage. Vincent is based off my level 50 spiritomb which is a sp attck and sp def tank with bout 200 hp.plus if we're basing this off of gen 2 after hugo goes down the curse is lifted. but there isn't any proof saying tht it hasnt changed since gen 2 > biggrin ))
Vincent dodged the attack before he was sent into the ultra ball which shoke a few times before he burst from the ball looking angrier then before. "Is that all?" He said as he crossed his arms before firing a dark pulse. "Go down you fool!"

((I;m waiting after Molly to get my charmander, which would make the battle partly easier =/ At least, it would give me a better chance to get the spiritomb. I might as well explain some back story while I'm at it to explain the badges; he had a vaporeon too, which he fought practically all the battles with and was able to get the badges. The reason why he doesn't have the vaporeon now is because he let another trainer borrow vaporeon (the vaporeon was okay with it), and thenext thing Rock knew, the trainer had disappeared with it.
I'm sorry, i couldn't have known for the spiritomb thing XP I do tend to get carried away))

((no its fine lol, i didnt give specifics on the spiritomb. its pretty much a upgrade to sableye but with less moves in its move pool.))

(sorry i was gone so long. i was stuck with a horrible internet for a week)
Bell had hid behind Rock and felt horrible. She liked the complement from Vincent but she felt like she failed her master. When she heard that he wanted Luke to fight she felt worse but went to get her firey team mate. "Luke!" she called when she saw him.
Elie didn't like being insulted but she was stopped by Molly. "Let's go, we're not needed here." Molly said with a smile and they walked off to the next town to get supplies.
Carrie came out from the shadows and sat in a tree with Steven and watched the fighting. Steven was awake and watched too and laughed a bit when Vincent had used his powers.

Luke stopped his games and looked towards where he heard his name and saw the feebas heading his way. He could see her expression "What's wrong? Id Rock okay?" He asked as he ran towards her. He had seen them run off in the same direction and it worried him that his master hadn't come back with her.

"I got to go, Kleely. See you later." Luke bolted as fast as he could, leaving Kleely in the dust. His master needed him and he would come to his aid. he was soon at the battlefield and stood beside Rock.Hugo groaned as he floated to the ground, wincing in pain and dropping to one knee. "Come back Hugo!" Rock shouted as he brought Hugo back. "Luke, great timing. It's your turn!" He added. The curse was lifted and that left the Spiritomb at about 1/4th of his health. Just a little more damage. At least, Luke would be able to withstand a bit more attacks than Hugo, since it's normal damage instead of being super effective.
Luke ran up on the battlefield and looked up to the spiritomb. Luke used ember unto the spiritomb, having no other really useful attacks yet. In the meantime, Rock got his hand on another ultra ball, getting ready for the next throw. Of course, ember would need to be used more than once for the desired damage in need to be inflicted. "Thanks Bell. Without you, Hugo would've fainted in vain and that would've upset him." He told her once she joined up and patted her on the head with his free hand.
