Luminette found herself sitting at the edge of the bed, looking over the room slowly and carefully. She nearly burst into tears again at the mere sight. "I wish I could hug you so badly right now." she whimpered, offering him a shaky smile as she nearly drowned in all this sentiment.

"I know...I do too." Lucien said softly, putting his arms around her form, careful so as not to go through her. It was as close as he could get to holding her in his arms right now. "I'm sorry Luminette....I wish I could have told you you how I felt sooner, or you might still be alive right now. I never should have snapped at you that night, and I hope you can forgive me."

{Hey, Zelly? If I have the urge to make a random, plotless gothic fantasy RP just because I want to play a certain character personality and/or shipping pair, should I do it or pretend to form a plot first?}
"I forgave you a long, long time ago." Luminette murmured in reply, moving her arms to wrap them around Lucian in return as best as she could. "I love you, and you love me. What mistakes we made all those years ago cannot be changed. Dwelling on them will just make us miserable."

((XD I say go for it. If it bombs horribly, then maybe think about coming up with one of those 'plot' things I've heard so much about...))
Tears dotted the bedding as they fell from Lucien's cheeks. Could the monster cry? He couldn't remember. Except for those days when Luminette was with him, his time under the curse was such a blur. He took a deep breath and strained himself back up, wiping his eyes as he tried to regain his composure. "We'll get you a body. I'll look into the darkest magics if I must, but we will be together properly. And if not, then I'll die trying and we'll wander the mortal plane as spirits together." he said with a smile.

{I'll definately do that next time I get online, then. XDD}
Luminette smiled in return, but was unable to hide the worry she felt. "Whatever you do, please be careful. I would gladly live again if I could, but not if it meant bringing any more misfortune upon you." After a pause she added in, "Even if that means I'll have to stay dead. I died of natural causes, mainly my stupidity, after all."

"I told you, I'd gladly take that risk. In fact, you said you were a witchborne, correct? Any chance you have any knowledge of magic that would help any?" Lucien asked.

"Not anything useful, no. Mother only taught me illusionary spells, which were only really useful when I was fleeing for my life." Luminette frowned slightly at the thought. "That was before her death, and before I met you. I don't even think I remember those minor cantrips even, as it has been so long since I've had any use or need for them."

(( In 'real' theories about lineage and spirits, I read an article once that said people of closer bloodlines are more compatible for a soul to use =w= I had this morbid idea that in the village, Adriane is closest to Luminette in lineage XD ))

"Ah well, I didn't think so. That would have been far too easy if you did, and I think we've already determined that fate has no intention of throwing us a bone any time soon." Lucien said with a small chuckle. "But, considering the number of books stocking the library, I really wouldn't be surprised if my family had a few books on magic hiding somewhere. Otherwise I might actually have to go into town." he said with a rather startled expression at the thought of facing people again, even if they were completely different people from those that knew him before the curse.

"I would be careful about asking villagers of magic. If they are anything like they were in my time, asking too much of magic or anything related will get you branded as a witch. You'd then be hung, burned, or drowned depending on the village elder's mood." Luminette, oddly, almost sounded bitter as she spoke these words. Such feelings quickly faded, however. "I love you, and I don't want you dying just as miserably as I did."

"I don't know about that. At least I'd be dying trying to help you, as opposed to being foolish enough to run out into a snowstorm in the middle of the night." Lucien said before scrunching his face up. Open mouth, insert foot. It seemed even after all his years of brooding and learning his lesson, some habits were still hard to break and he still had his rather sharp tongue. "....Forgive me, that was in poor taste....But none the less, I'll have little choice but to risk it if I find nothing of use here."

"Don't worry about it. I've cracked that joke a million times myself." Sure, the comment did sting quite a bit, but Luminette wasn't about to show that. "Nevertheless, my point still stands. I won't forgive you if you get hurt or killed for my sake."

"I'll just have to take that risk then." Lucien said easily. "We've both lived in torment long enough. I think it only fair we get a chance to be happy for a change."

"Agreed." Luminette let her lips form a dainty smile at the prospect of living happilly. "If there is anything I can do to assist, please, let me know. I don't want to just lay around as nothing more than dead weight."
