[|-|+Let the fun (and torture) begin! lol biggrin By the way, Alex's nickname for Lix is pronounced zee-nee+|-|]
Alex turned to look at his twin sister once Raevyn answered him. "Xini, you didn't tell me Ash got a boyfriend." He said quietly, looking over Raevyn once more before striking out his hand. "I'm Alex; Xini's twin." He said, waiting for the male to shake his hand.
Ashriel leaned down to hug Krixion for a moment before hugging Lixini back. "Oh, come on, Lix, it won't be too long until you're eighteen." She answered, smiling at her friend. Krixion went over to Lucian, hugging him. At this point, the older cat tensed up. The littlest girl smiled, speaking quietly.
"Lukey, what's a boyfriend?" Lucian's face filled with blush. Did Krixion have to ask him, of all people?

 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((Poor Raevyn. xd ))
Raevyn looked at the offered hand warily, as if it would bite him. Hesitantly, he reached out to shake Alex's hand briefly before pulling his hand back quickly. "Raevyn." He muttered, grudgingly giving his name. His amber eyes were never still, always watching the "horde".
"Boyfriend? I didn't tell you?" She looked confused, the shrugged. "I must have forgotten again." She said with a laugh. She turned back to Ashriel. "But by the time I'm eighteen, you'll be even older." She said with a playful pout.
The young twins were still chanting "birfday" over and over again. Suddenly they seemed to notice Raevyn. They stopped, looked at each other, then each glomped a leg, looking up at him. "Who is Mr. Man?" Lexie asked him childishly. "Don't know. Who are you Mr. Man?" Max replied, looking at Raevyn instead of his twin.
"Hey, hey you two. What have I told you about doing that?" Valixia scolded the two playfully, tugging at their shirts gently. "Let go. You're making Mr. Man nervous." It was true. Raevyn had stiffened at the contact and looked like he was about to bolt.  The tiger that should be....isn't....

Alex eyed the twins and frowned. He began to pull Max away, looking over at Jennalin, since his sisters were being of no help. Jennalin walked over, picking up Lexie with ease. "What, I don't get a hello?" She asked, hoping to distract the younger girls. "Mr. Man's name is Raevyn. And I'm sure he'd rather you guys not be so close. He's shy." She told them, smiling. Shyness seemed a good excuse.
Ashriel couldn't help but laugh at Raevyn's predicament. "Only by a month!" She answered Lixini, smiling.
Krixion was still holding onto Lucian, expecting an answer. "Uh...err...Val? Krix wants to know what a boyfriend is." He said nervously, just as tense as Raevyn.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn breathed a sigh of relief as Alex and Jennalin managed to get the twins away. He edged a step away from them, not wanting to risk another "attack".
Lexie bounced in Jennalin's arms then threw her arms about the girl's neck in a hug. "Hihi Jenny!!" She squealed happily, distracted from Raevyn. Max hung onto his brother but he was still watching Raevyn. "Why is Mr. Rae-Man here? Is Ashy's party." He asked, sounding confused.
"That's true I suppose." Lixini said with a giggle. "Ah, Raevyn doesn't look too happy. Poor guy."
Valixia laughed and came to Lucian's rescue, plucking the child from his arms. "That's easy Krixion. A boyfriend is a very very special friend who is a boy. That means they're even closer than best friends." She explained it to the child with a smile. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin smiled at Lexie, speaking quietly to the little girl. "Hey Lexie." She said softly, smiling brightly.
Alex looked at Raevyn quietly. "Well, apparently he's a really good friend of Ash now." He explained to his little brother, still not happy that he hadn't been informed.
"I think he would've rather stayed at home." Ashriel answered Lixini, shrugging her shoulders as she looked over to her boyfriend, who Lucian was slowly nearing.
Krixion looked at Valixia quietly in thought for a moment before answering. "Does that make Maxie Lexie's boyfriend?"

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn frowned at Alex. It wasn't exactly his fault the boy hadn't been told. He'd kinda been busy. He glanced towards Lucian, seeing the other cat edging closer.
Lexie hugged Jennalin tight. "Lexie hasn't seen Jenny long time! Jenny should visit more!" She scolded the other girl.
Max looked between Alex and Raevyn. "But Max hasn't seen Mr. Rae-Man. How is friend if never seen?" He asked, clearly confused.
"It looks like it." Lixini said with a giggle. "Lucian's always nervous too. So I guess he isn't alone anymore." She didn't seem bothered by the boys being nervous of her family. She knew a lot of people found this much hyperness scary.
Valixia took the question in stride, used to it by now after having helped raise all the others. "No. A boyfriend can't be family. He has to be someone special from another family." She explained with a smile. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Lucian watched everyone closely, sighing. "Don't worry about Alex." He whispered, eying the younger boys. "He tends to be a little testy when Lixini forgets to tell him something. Like if one of her friends gets a boyfriend - this suddenly means he thinks he should be involved." He said smoothly, nodding to Alex.
Jennalin hugged Lexie back. "I tried to come last week, but you had a doctors appointment, Lex." She told the girl quietly, smiling still.
Alex shrugged. "Lix, Jen, and Ash are keeping secrets from us guys again." He said quietly, grinning at this. "He's probably cooped up at Ash's house, hidden away all day." He didn't know how right he was.
Ashriel nodded, smiling at the guys. "Looks like Alex is mad again. Why didn't you tell him?" She poked her friend, her slight childishness coming out.
Krixion paused for a moment, thinking. "Was Lukey ever Valy's boyfriend?" Luke's face turned a deep shade of red, remembering how much he used to hang out with Valixia when Krixion was younger.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn glanced at Lucian and nodded. "If you say so." He murmured, not happy with the situation in general. Alex was only adding to it.
Lexie looked confused. "I did? Oh! Lexie did!" She exclaimed, her confusion clearing. "Doctor gave Lexie a lollipop!" She told Jennalin excitedly. "A red lollipop!"
Max made a face. "Max don't like things hiding. Max likes knowing." He told Alex in a conspiratorial whisper.
Lixini pouted. "I forgot alright? I got caught up in the project for art class. I wasn't thinking about anything else." She told Ashriel.
Valixia merely laughed. She wasn't easily embarrassed. "No Krixion. Lukey was just a close friend, not a really really close special friend. Lukey was my best friend." She explained things to the child as best as she could. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Lucian sighed with relief at Valixia's cover up. "He'll cool off in a bit." He added along to it, eying the boy. The same thing had happened the first day he hung out with Valixia at her house - Alex had freaked out.
Jennalin nodded to Lexie, thinking for a moment. "Okay...err...shoot! I forgot to pick up the cake. Luke, Raevyn, mind getting it?" She said, basically offering the guys an out for a few minutes while she got Lix and her siblings settled into the party's routine. She hoped that they could trust her alone with Ash for now - after all, Raevyn and Ash had those cellphones, and there were a lot of them here. Were's wouldn't dare try anything with this group around.
Alex nodded to his brother. "Same with me, Max. Same with me." He answered with a low whisper as well.
Ashriel nodded, smiling again. "It's not that big a deal, Lix." She answered.
Krixion smiled brightly. "Okay, Lukey not Valy's boyfriend. But Rae-rae is Ashy's boyfriend...right?" She asked curiously.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn nodded slightly. He glanced at Jennalin, clearly debating. His eyes flickered around the room. Most Were's liked subtly, so surely they wouldn't attack here right? And as new to her powers as Jen was, it was still better than no protection. Besides, Ashriel had that phone now and so did he. Finally, he nodded. "Where am I getting it from?" He asked quietly.
Max nodded firmly. "Knowing good. Max likes knowing. How come Alex didn't know about Mr. Rae-Man?" He asked innocently.
Lixini shrugged. "Nothing to do about it now. So Alex will just have to suck it up and deal with it." She said with a laugh.
Valixia nodded and smiled. "That's exactly right. Smart girl." She complimented Krixion, kissing her forehead lightly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin grinned at Raevyn's answer. "The bakery on fourth and oak." At this point, Ashriel caught on to the conversation - she knew that bakery to be the best, but most expensive.
"Jen!" Ashriel exclaimed, glaring at her friend. "Couldn't you have gotten it somewhere cheaper?"
"Nope."
Alex thought for a moment before answering his brother. "'Cuz Xini was a jerk and didn't tell me." He told him, glaring needles at his twin.
Krixion giggled at a kiss. "Do Lixi or Valy have a boyfriend?" She asked, smiling brightly.
Luke ducked out the door immediately when Raevyn said yes. He didn't want to deal with Alex's anger any more than he had to.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn, seeing Ashriel's expression, followed on Lucian's heels. He wanted out of the house quickly before she ordered him not to get the cake or something. He hurried outside, breathing a sigh of relief once they were free of the group. "That is a scary group." He muttered under his breath.
Lexie giggled at Ashriel's response. "Uh-oh! Ashy mad! Run Jenny run!" She said playfully.
Max reached up to pat his brother's cheek. "Ah, no be mad at Lixi. Lixi forgetful." He said with a giggle. "Max knows Lixi is sorry. Lixi is always sorry."
Lixini giggled, hugging Ashriel. "Oh calm down Ash. She always does this! You should be used to it by now." She exclaimed with a smile.
Valixia patted Krixon on the head. "No sweetling. Neither Lixini nor myself have boyfriends. We're waiting for someone really special." The girl had the patience of a saint, dealing with questions day in and day out. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Lucian sighed, going outside quickly along with the other cat. "You're telling me! You aren't the one that has had to deal with that three times a year for the past, I dunno...eight years! Then again, this is only the second year Krix has been part of it, and the fourth for Max and Lexie." He said, already exhausted. "Jennalin 'forgets' the cake every year - just to give herself a little bit without me to get everyone settled down." He used air quotes around the word 'forgets'.
Jennalin smiled, whispering to Lexie. "Don't worry, Lex, I have it all under control." She told her, before grinning at her friend. "I already ordered it, and the guys are already off to get it. So, too late to change it." She grinned coyly, as she did every year. Then again, this usually happened with Lucian came back with the box and cake, not when he left for it.
Ashriel sighed, smiling at Lixini's hug. "Yeah, I know she always does it. And I always have to argue about it. It's principle." The girl answered brightly, nodding to Jennalin. "Fine, Jen, you win this one. But I will win the next one!" She declared, and it became instantly obvious that both Jen and Ash were back to their silent plotting. Perhaps that was why they were such great friends - they were the best ones to through plots and ideas against.
Alex looked at his brother and sighed, glancing to his twin sister. "I guess you're right, Max. Xini probably didn't mean to. She just better tell me next time." He answered, grinning again as if nothing had just happened.
Krixion nodded, hugging Valixia again. "Okay!" She answered brightly, happy with her big sister's answer - for now at least.

Lexie covered her mouth, trying to quiet a giggle. It didn't work so well. "Good job Jenny." She whispered to the older girl.
Max smiled, pleased with himself. "Lixi will try, Max is sure." He said, confident in his words.
Lixini smiled and laughed. "That's right Ash. You'll get her back." She said wit a playful wink. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Lucian looked at Raevyn seriously, before saying one word. "Catnip." He answered simply, continuing to walk on.
Jennalin put Lexie down at this point, and she clapped her hands. "Now, we should start on the activities. As always, we will start by painting Alex's nails!" She declared, completely serious.
Alex dropped his jaw, putting down Max. "How about...how about you guys do Max's nails this year?" And so, he sold out his little brother.
Ashriel just laughed with content. Usually, this just ended with Alex having bright colored nails - the birthday girl's favorite color, of course. He would get mocked at school for a couple of days while he explained that it had been whichever girl's birthday party.
