 Still sad to think about the fact that Godfrey Gao passed away recently from a heart attack. It wasn't too familiar with his work but I did like him as Magnus Bane in the City of Bones films.

Steamforged Games was doing a special Black Friday sale of some of their limited edition Critical Role minis. I was excited because I thought I might be able to grab the ones I wasn't able to buy the first time around ((because SG didn't send me notification e-mails about them being available like it was supposed to)). Unfortunately - and not surprisingly, they were already sold out when I looked at the website this morning when I came into work*.
*A tree fell near our house on Wednesday, yanking on the power line and pulling a power pole over as a result. While we have power back up (as of the morning after), we still do not have internet at this time. So... I had to check here at work, lol.

Today's been fairly relaxing here at the assisted living. With it being observance for Thanksgiving, many places are closed. It's quite nice. And the day is going by fast which is nice.

So cool to see Twilight Sparkle all grown up and having the flowy hair like Celestia and Luna. Though there's a part of me that would've loved to see the transition from her regular hair to the flowiness. Not to mention, the ponies commenting on her sudden change from regular pony size to the elegant, tall legged form of the Princesses.

I'm so emotionally exhausted from work these past couple days.
Yesterday, I spent almost an hour on hold to talk to someone to set up rides for our residents' appointments on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Then they have the nerve of saying we were making too many "last minute" rides and claiming they never got any of our faxes for said appointments (which I sent out a week or two in advance). Sometimes when they claim they didn't get my faxes, I just think "Yeah right! You managed to get all of the faxes for this one day but somehow the fax machine decided not to send you the ones for this other day... even though I sent them all within the same half hour or so." talk2hand The receptionist said they have about half their staff out sick right now. A minor part of me was sympathic, knowing things are probably piling up because of being short-handed, but the other side of me was going "Maybe the faxes did come in and are on one of those people's desks!" stressed The other receptionist commented she's been having issues with MT all week, so it's not only me having trouble.
Then there was a note that one of the residents appointments was changed because of the holiday... but I had two different appointment dates listed for when it was supposed to occur. I tried calling the medical office to see when the true date was but I felt like I was just getting sent around in a circle because everyone was like, "Oh, I don't do that."

Then today the caregiver has been getting a bit frustrated because she's the only one working (as caregiver) and there's been so many assistance calls coming in. She snapped a bit at me (though she didn't apologize). And not to help matters, a resident decided to leave their clogged toilet rather than try plunging it... and whoever came after them didn't bother plunging either, they just tried flushing or whatever... and resulted in the entire 1st floor restroom to flood from the toiler overflowing. xp She ended up taking a smoke break afterwards to try to calm down after getting frustrated over what could have been an easy fix. Apparently during that time, she ended up turning her radio off, which made our med aid upset when she was trying to contact her. "Do you know where ---- is?" "Last time I saw her, she was going on a smoke break." "Well, if you see her, tell her she needs to have her radio on all the time." Like... why the hell do I have to tell her?! And why are you getting snappy at me about her not responding? It's not like I'm in control of what she does.
