"Uh...Uuhhhh... It's this way, right?" Zil asked Adriane, holding out the large map in front of them and looking at the mountain. They all looked the same and the terrain looked different from what was shown on the map. "How old is this thing? It doesn't seem right", he said, concerned as a person who knew how to read a map and read it well. If it was two hundred years late, it would be obvious why it looked very different though.
((OOC: So, we going with the Adriane being closest to Luminette's ancestry then~? XP Whachu think, Wynnie~? ))

((O.O All I have to say is....what the hell??? You three realize I WAS ON A CRUISE??? I had no way of contact for a week. In that week, you three manage to 1. get Lucien's body back, 2. Make minnie a skeleton in her room (which is slightly creepy), and 3. manage to make my character a witch. I have decided I am NEVER leaving this rp again, and that I love y'all so much more now. Thank you for blowing my mind. And yes, I like the Minnie-Adriane connection thingy...it lets Zil and Adriane come back to the castle.))
Adriane shook her head. "I thought the map went this way..." she said, flipping it over. She bit her lip. "And I thought it was only about fifty years old....Damn it, if we're lost again I'mma hit something!"

"Well... That stream is not on the map. I'm pretty sure this map says that cave was open. Noooo, this doesn't seem right", Zil remarked, trying to make due with the terrain change when a roadblock seemed evident as a large crack in the ground due to some kind of devastating earthquake. After a few moments, Zil commented, "I think we're going the right way!"
((OOC: Not necessarily a witch. Perhaps, Luminette's Aunt is her great great grandmother. So not necessarily a witch XP And welcome back, Wynnie~ More Zil mayhem for us! XD ))

Adriane looked at the crack, and looked at him. "How can it be right with a crack in the ground?" she asked. She shook her head. "I'm beginning to think that we should go back to the castle..." She rubbed her neck. "At least then we could get our bearings. And we could bypass the crevice all together and not bother Minnie and Lucien." She found a stump nearby and sat on it. She looked up at Zil with a small smile. "Running away is hard." ((If Minnie had a sibling, it would make more sense for her and Adriane to be related, I would think.))

Zil took the map under his arm and looked around, using his hand as a form of visor. He then frowned, noticing how far away the end of the crack was. "That's not good", he said, mostly to himself. He then turned to Adriane and said, "Yeah, it's tough work!" He smiled and scratched his head, shrugging, having no idea how they could find their way to the next village.

"No pun intended, correct?" Lucien said with a little chuckle at the incidental joke. "Unfortunately I can't really think of anything that a ghost could do, no offense of course....And I can't exactly ask you help with research when you couldn't even turn a page." he said with a bit of a sad frown.

Luminette looked rather depressed at the thought of being useless. With whatever cheer she had now lost, she asked, "Will you please come to me before going through with anything? I'd like to be perfectly aware of the situation and what the possibilities are with whatever we'll be trying."

"Of course I will." Lucien said with a soft smile. "Last thing we need is any more trouble bubbling up from a lack of communication between us. Although I somehow assumed you'd be watching from over my shoulder the whole time. Or can you not stray far from your body?"

"I can't go more than five miles away from my body." One might consider it odd that Luminette knew the exact length, had they not recalled the massive ammount of time she was alone as a spirit and how utterly boring that must have been.

Adriane sighed again. She was quiet for a while, trying to think through what they should do. "What do you think, Zil? Back to the castle or onward and forward?" She sat down on a stump and propped her chin in her hand.

Zil kind of shuddered at the thought of going back to the castle. Oh, how Minnie would kill him if he dared go near there. He cleared his throat and stuttered into saying, "I th-I think we should go forward. Minnie has already made it clear that she doesn't want us there. I think we should weather it out and see if we can get around this crack and over the mountainside. But if we can't before sundown, then let's head back" Zil said, turning to Adriane and assuring her with a kind smile.
((OOC: Woooow, you're all using the nickname 'Minnie' now. *high fives Zil* Also, Minnie has already shown that she can write with a stick on snow. I'm pretty sure that establishes the fact that she has poltergeist powers =w= ))

((Good point about Minnie. Zil and Adriane can't get to far or Minnie won't be able to do her ghosty powers. ))
Adriane nodded. She crossed her arms and thought, her eyes focused on the crack. She looked at the map, and saw that in about two hours trek, there was a river that they could cross, and it woulld bypass the crack. She hmmmned, and then looked up at Zil. "Look at this." She held up the map to let him look. "There's a river we could cross. It's been cold enough that it's frozen over. It would also save us some time, and get around this weird crevice..."

"Alright then. Lead the way, my lady", Zil said, eager to follow Adriane and let her guide him to their destination. Hopefully, unlike the cave and other things on the map that have either eroded or disappeared over time, this river still existed. Worse comes to worst, the water had descended and left the river too low into the ground and the river banks high enough to be cliffs. Or worse, the river had disappeared completely.
