 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn was still for a moment, as if thinking about what she'd said, making sure he'd heard right. Slowly, a huge grin broke across his face. He stood up, sweeping Ashriel into a hug. "You don't know how happy that makes me." He whispered, then kissed her soundly on the lips.  The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel swallowed, giggling lightly when she was swept into the hug. A smile lasted even once the giggling stopped, renewed by his words. She kissed him back softly, her eyes shut as she hugged him back.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn kissed her sweetly for a long moment. When he finally pulled back, he was still grinning. He seemed more relaxed than he'd been in a long time. He put a hand on her cheek, thumb brushing the skin lightly. "Thank you Ashriel. Thank you." He murmured softly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled brightly at him. She held him calmly, speaking quietly. "No, thank you." She answered lightly, her face wide in a smile.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn kissed her briefly again. "Whenever you're ready, we'll complete it." He told her softly. "It has to be your choice though. The male can't force it. Besides that, I wouldn't WANT to force something like that on you. I want you to come to me of your free will, because you decide to on your own." He confided to her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled at the kiss, listening when Raevyn spoke. She thought for a moment before she asked a simple question - the same one she'd asked before when she was still deciding. "How exactly does it...work?" She asked him, continuing to hug him gently. She wanted to know so that she might be ready for whatever was in store.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn pressed his right hand against her left, lining the marks up as he threaded their fingers together. "There's two parts. Only one part is necessary though." He began explaining, talking quietly. "For the first part, it's rather simple. We keep our hands locked like this. Then you have to accept me into your body. While we're joined, we repeat the Were vow's. As long as it is all willing, that's all that's needed. We will be mated." He paused, letting her digest that. "The second part is a little more complicated and isn't necessary. It's a ritual to join our life forces. Then, if one dies, we both die." He said softly. It was considered the ultimate show of love in his culture, a statement that one would rather die than live without their mate. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at their hands softly, smiling as she listened. She nodded, taking breaths as she heard him say the words. She thought for a few moments before speaking. A deep breath slipped from her mouth as she looked at his face again. She nodded, her eyes glancing again to their hands. "I - I'm not sure what else I can say." She said softly, easily. A smile was softly on her face as she looked to him.

You still have almost three weeks to decide if you really want to go through with this, knowing what the ritual is now." He smiled at her warmly. "I understand if you don't feel ready. Ashriel nodded softly. "Maybe if I talked to Jennalin..." She just barely muttered. She kissed him back lightly as well, thinking. "I just need a little bit of time before I'm ready for it." She told him softly, looking into his eyes.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn raised an eyebrow but decided not to comment on the Jennalin remark. He simply smiled lightly. "Take all the time you want. I would never force something like this." He told her seriously, though he was still smiling. "I want to make sure you're comfortable and happy. I don't want you to regret anything." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel nodded, smiling at him. The next minute, there was a knocking on the door - and the cellphones which Ashriel had forgotten about started ringing at the same time. "Um...I'm guessing that that is Luke and Jen..." She said shyly, hearing the ringing and the knocking.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn jumped as the phone attached to his belt began vibrating suddenly. "Jeez, that is gonna take some getting used to." He muttered, letting go of Ashriel and padding over to the door. Out of habit, he glanced through the peek-hole, though he was unsurprised to see the siblings. He opened the door, letting them in. "Morning." The tiger that should be....isn't....

The siblings flipped their phones shut the minute the door was opened, and Jennalin was immediately next to Ashriel, grinning broadly. "I'm guessing she's picked up on something I haven't?" He asked, as Jennalin began to hug Ash.

He said complainingly, then added in a more serious voice. "She decided to go through with it all." He showed the mark on his palm so there could be no mistake about what he meant.
