"Easier said than done." Amaya muttered as she broke free of Adrian's hug, going to retrieve her laptop and get some work done.

Adrian sighed before getting up to get his guitar, deciding to experiment with some tunes for a bit.

"Hey, hey! Jezzy stop it!" Roran rolled his eyes, sighing as his dog began grabbing toys from the shelves. "Jezzy, if you do not behave yourself, I won't get you anything at all. We came here to grab you a new bone." Bending to grab the right brand, he clicked his tongue. "No you may not have a second! Jeez you are demanding. Where did Zorlund go?" This is how the pet store always was. The employees loved him here, and with the benefit of them having gotten to know Jezzy and Zorlund, they didn't mind that Roran lacked leashes.
Exiting the aisle, he saw Zorlund attached to a leash being held by the cashier, whom was giving Roran a jokingly stern look. "I think this dog belongs to you," she said.
Roran looked away but smiled. "Sorry Jaimee, he was right behind me at one moment, and the next he was gone." As she unleashed the dog, Roran payed for the items he purchased.
Leaving the stores, Zorlund complained about the leash. "Well, if you wouldn't run off, you wouldn't get leashed!" Roran retorted. "It's your own fault." Heading down the road, the park wasn't too far from the store. "Come on guys."

Cali returned around dinnertime, going to the kitchen to help her mother make dinner.
Amaya had hit a wall in her writing hours ago and tried to train, then decided to make dinner instead since it was getting late. Cali's help was much appreciated, as she was already starting to get tired again.

Adrian knocked on Riley's door before opening the door a crack. "Hey Riley, dinner's gonna be ready soon."
"'kay...." Riley was huddled up in a corner on his bed, face buried in a comic book.
Adrian sighed and sat down on the edge of the bed next to Riley. "I know you're confused and angry about all the mutation business you're going through right now, but you don't have to decide how to feel now. Once we know for sure how you are, you'll have plenty of time to figure it out." he told him before leaning over and giving him a kiss on the head before getting up and leaving the room, closing the door behind him.

"Appointment's after school on monday, so at least he won't have to stay confused for long and start adjusting that much sooner." Adrian said.

"So we get to deal with a mopey Riley all weekend? How fun." Cali observed dryly. He was being very emo about the whole thing. Cali got it from the beginning what it meant, but Riley seemed oblivious to any of the truth behind his family.
