 And, of course, you've got the other side of the coin of people commenting of how they don't want to "fall for the conspiracy" stuff. Like this:
A: *shares image that says: "I will not be masked, tracked, tested, chipped or poisoned to support this orchestrated lie! This will not be my 'new normal'. I do not consent!"*
B: Right on... but still going to wear a mask.
A: Obviously had to in certain places but you will never find me driving alone or walking through the forest with one on.
B: Same here.
*face palms* Seriously... you are not required to wear a mask when you are on your own (or with people in your household/bubble) when driving or out in nature (unless you will be passing others like on a trail).

I had shared a link to an article (written back in September but still relevant with current stuff) regarding whether the vaccine was mandated or not. It was just clarifying that it is not mandated for all, that it may just be mandated for certain types of people (i.e. field of work). Part of her response was:
If people have the vaccine, then they have nothing to worry about, right?
I responded stating that many have misconceptions about a vaccine, that it will prevent them from catching whatever disease it was built for. I clarified that it is not a cure, just a means of helping your immune system fight against the disease it's for. And just because you get the vaccine doesn't mean you won't still catch the disease, especially since there's been reports of a new mutated strand of COVID showing up in places. Since most people are familiar with flu shots, I equivalented it to that. A vaccine/flu shot at a certain time is built around a particular strand, so it's most effective that particular one but if any other strands exist, it may not protect you effectively against it. If you get a flu shot, it doesn't guarantee you won't get sick. The same would apply to the COVID vaccine.

*sighs as she reads the response* Well... I don't feel like I enlightened anyone much with my posts there. Though honestly I don't really know what side I'm trying to represent, if any. I think I'm just on the fence presenting what information I know in a general sense.
She's pretty determined to keep to her stance that the vaccine is ridiculous and unnecessary and her immune boosters will have the same stance. *shrugs* I don't know what to say in response to that.

Still just weird to have the image of someone you know be shattered by something like this. I thought she was on the same page as me, understood the reasoning behind masks and what not, despite her dislike for wearing masks. But clearly I was wrong. She was just keeping her true colors hidden.

*sighs and shrugs* I just don't know how I feel about it now.
Like... t.A.T.u.'s "Friend or Foe" sound reflects how I'm feeling. Not knowing where we stand with each other. Will our opposing views of the COVID situation snowball into further separation? Or is this just a hurtle we're getting over?

Ever since this whole COVID "apocalypse," I've never felt more connected to Negan than before. And I'm not just saying that because of my feelings for JDM in general. I'm saying it because his stance on his world's situation is similar to mine. We don't force others to live their lives one way or another; we may argue for one stance (and Negan may have threatened with Lucille in some circumstances) but in the end we leave it up to the individual to decide what to do next. We enlighten others to the truth of the situation and what options there are.
And can I just say some of his speeches in TWD keep echoing in my head as I experience stuff?
