 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "I hadn't realized there would be animals here." Raevyn said shortly, as if that explained everything. He continued to watch the elephant intently. In truth, he was looking for signs of how the animal was treated. He couldn't abide animal cruelty, especially when used for money purposes.  The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Oh." Ashriel answered, continuing to watch the show. The elephant was taken off after a while, and Ash watched for the next act.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Suddenly the lights light up a cage just off center where two tigers paced. Raevyn growled quietly, stiffening. He watched as a man with a whip entered the cage and began running through a routine with the tigers. They sat up on stools, jumped through hoops, and other neat things. While the crowd was awed though, Raevyn was annoyed. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel watched the routine as it begun, but she couldn't help imagining Raevyn and Lucian in the place of the two tigers. She glanced over to the growling Raevyn, frowning. "Maybe we shouldn't have come..." She said softly, looking at him.
I would love it if you danced along.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn glanced at Ashriel and suddenly realized he'd been growling. He forced a smile onto his face. "No, it's fine. You wanted to see the circus, so that's what we're doing." He said firmly, leaning back in his seat. He made himself look more relaxed, trying to ignore the tigers in the cage. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at him instead of the act, unable to keep from imagining him and Lucian in place of the tigers. "Yeah, I wanted to see it...but I didn't know there would be animals here, either. Especially not animals being hurt." She commented. Her mind went back to how she found Raevyn; she couldn't stand seeing any type of animal getting hurt when she couldn't do anything about it.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn frowned slightly as he corrected Ashriel. "They're not....being hurt, per se. A lot of it is just show." He told her slowly. "I just......I can't stand cages." When this main show was over, he would go see the tigers home cages, he decided. He had to see if they were being treated well. If not........Well, the circus might not have any tigers tomorrow. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ash nodded, looking at him. "Okay...if you are sure." She said, looking down at the tigers. She was a little jittery as she did so.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn kissed her cheek, murmuring to her. "I promise. They are fine. For now. If they actually WERE being hurt, I assure you, the trainer wouldn't be there right now." He said, his soft voice venomous. He couldn't stand animal cruelty, to big cats in particular. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel nodded, listening to him. She loosened up a little bit, her eyes glancing to him as the act slowly ended. The show moved on...(and this girl doesn't know any more circus acts...)

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn only paid half attention to the rest of the following acts. If pressed, he couldn't even tell you what they were. (aka I'm outta ideas and moving on) When the house lights turning on again, he rose with a stretch. "Come on. There's something I want to check out." He led the way out of the main tent, ducking behind it, though visitors technically weren't allowed there. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel followed after Raevyn as well. She hadn't paid much attention to everything else after the tigers... The show with the tigers had bothered her far too much. She kept close to him. "What is it?" She asked, her hand moving to hold his.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "I want to see something. See what the tigers care REALLY is like." Raevyn replied softly, leading her through the darkened area. Finally, a low growl permeated the area as they neared a large cage. The two tigers paced back and forth, tails twitching as they glared at the intruders. Raevyn growled back, the sound low and animalistic. The tigers paused and looked at him, perking their ears. Raevyn's eyes went wide as he met the tiger's eyes. The tiger that should be....isn't....

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Shh....." Raevyn hushed her. His voice sounded as if he was surprised by something. He moved closer to the cage. "What are you doing here?" He asked the tigers quietly. "Why stay here?" He asked them as if they could understand him. Surprisingly, the tigers did seem to understand. They chuffed, as if laughing at him. "Really? You've got to be kidding." The larger tiger shook it's head, baring it's fangs in a grin. The tiger that should be....isn't....
