Maybe I'm just taking things more personally than I should but it bothers me when someone replies to my message informing them of something along the lines of "This is the policy, so this is the way it's supposed to be." You don't think I know that?! I'm constantly having to remind people about it but they still keep acting like it's a brand new thing. Stop insulting the messenger. If you have a problem with something, then tell them yourself. I'm tired of being the middle man.

I wanted to go for a walk during my lunch break... but it had started raining a bit the last time I went over to the front door and I don't really want to deal with the rain on top of the chilly temps. *sighs* So now I don't know what I want to do when it does end up being break time. stare

Oof... my mood has really gone down into the blue sad/depressed suddenly.

Like all I want to do is either snuggle under a blanket on my couch at home to read... or go out for a walk (assuming the weather is nice or nice enough to be comfortable, of course).

There was a break in the rainy weather during my lunch break, so I was able to take a stroll down to the Waterfront. A half hour still doesn't seem like much when you have to walk there and there; only able to stop for a few minutes before having to turn around and walk back to work. None the less, it was exactly what I needed.
It helped that there's a Breast Cancer Race event going on down there too, so one of the local radio stations had a booth blasting out music for the attendees to enjoy.

sweatdrop Who needs to watch the game first hand when you can just listen to the excited yells and cheers from residents watching it? Apparently the teams playing had tied and the game went into overtime. The residents' preferred team managed to get a touchdown, thus winning the game.

I wonder if there's another football game they'll switch over to after this game's done having it's coverage.

Tomorrow I'm going to have to sort through the other flower vases I uncovered to see if I can find more narrow top ones. I've discovered the ones I've got stored away behind the Front Desk are either two wide topped to properly display a narrow bouquet or too short to not fall over from the weight of the flowers. xd

Doing a major cleaning spree of the collections of e-mails we've saved up. I feel like we've moved some of the e-mails for reference to look back on at the time but now a year or more has passed and we no longer need the information. Feels so good to see the amount of e-mails go down.

I'm only an half and half into my shift and I'm already wanting to go home. So glad today is my Friday.
We had some residents take positive for COVID, so we've got into quarantine lockdown mode. Thankfully none of the staff tested positive when we did our quick tests. So, there's that. Only a couple days into the quarantine and residents are already getting fiesty, to put it mildly.
