"Liar..." Ashriel muttered, glaring at Raevyn for the moment. "No. I can't now." She said flatly, stomping off into the bedroom. In just a couple of minutes, she was out, dressed, and opening the front door. "I'm going to work." Surely, they would allow her to work? After all, it was nighttime, and that did tend to be a rush shift.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn growled to himself. His head jerked up as he realized what Ashriel was doing. "Ashriel!" He snapped, then paused. He couldn't smother her forever....... "Just.....be careful please. I can't come get you tonight." He told her quietly, amber eyes watching her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel softened, looking at him. "I will." She left out the door, closing it after her. Of course, she got a block away before turning abruptly around and going back to their home, entering into the door with a reddened face. "I don't know how to get there." She said quickly as she entered, to stop any questions. Her fingers rested on her phone as she debated going back out to her pond. She wanted to know more, but she knew it would only hurt more if she watched. "I'm sorry that I can't tell you..." She muttered, going into their bedroom and locking that door. She flopped onto the bed noisily and started crying softly, curled up to herself. She figured Raevyn couldn't unlock the door in his current state, giving her time to just cry her tears.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sighed and lay his head on his paws once she was gone. When she came back, he blinked in surprise. She didn't know the way? He couldn't help but chuckle quietly. His chuckle was cut off as he heard her words and he sobered. Why couldn't she tell him? "Ashriel? Why can't you tell me?" He had to ask it. He heard the door lock and growled quietly. In his state, he couldn't undo the lock like normal. Even if he could get to the bedroom, which was doubtful. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"I don't know how." Ash's voice was just loud enough for Raevyn to hear it. Already, her face was covered with tears. She curled up on their bed, crying into her own pillow as she lay there. "How can I tell you?" She whimpered into the pillow, this louder but muffled by the pillow itself.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Start at the beginning." Raevyn coaxed her gently. "What brought this on?" He was trying to figure out what had made her upset. He didn't like it and he wanted to fix it. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel thought for a moment. "Well...I...I went to my tree earlier..." She said, her voice wavering as she spoke. "And...and I watched my old home...and...I...I...I saw my parents with a baby. Their baby." She couldn't say anything more. Her voice completely broke.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn felt his heart breaking as he heard her words. "I'm sorry......" He whispered, raw agony in his voice. He wanted to help her but he wasn't sure how to fix this hurt. This seemed deeper than he could help with. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel came out of the bedroom, looking at Raevyn. She laid down next to him, hugging onto him next to her. She hugged him tightly; this was the only way she could think of to stop the hurt.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn looked at her sadly, then wrapped his paws around her. He held her close, even as he shifted to human. "I'm sorry." He whispered quietly. "I'll always be here for you. Never forget that." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel shut her eyes as she cried against her. "Th-thanks...I probably don't deserve it." She answered quietly, holding him close. The hug settled her slightly, and she couldn't help but love being surrounded by him. It relaxed her, it really did.

Raevyn nuzzled her. "Of course you deserve it. You're an amazing and special girl." He held her close as she cried, letting her be. He purred soothingly in her ear, hoping to help calm her.

Ashriel kept close to him, breathing deeply. "Are...are you sure about that?" She asked, whimpering slightly to speak. Her eyes were completely shut, and her breathing hinted to her falling asleep gradually. Her ears were listening to his purring, slowly relaxing.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "I'm very very sure." Raevyn told her firmly. "I wouldn't have stayed with just anyone." He continued purring uninterruptedly, glad that Ashriel seemed to be calming. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"At least...at least there's one person who believes that..." Ashriel said softly, laying against him. She was calming down again, but she still was apparently upset. In her mind, she could only think of how many people would have disagreed with that; she couldn't come up with anyone who would agree with Raevyn. Her glow was still bright around her, like it was becoming usual when she was upset.
