The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn just chuckled, watching Ashriel. "So you think." He said playfully. Hearing Jennalin, he glanced at her. "Are you planning on actually going back with your mother?" He asked her silently, cocking his head to the side. Lucian had said what their mother wanted but not what Jennalin would do. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel grinned at Raevyn. "So I know." She said decisively. Her eyes looked at him easily. Her grin fell for a moment as her eyes glanced to Jennalin. Carefully, she went about cleaning the kitchen, any way she could. Jennalin looked at Raevyn, using the method she had figured out to speak to him silently. "I don't want to, but I have no choice in the matter. You can't say no to my mom." She told him, her eyes looking over to Ashriel. Really, she didn't want to leave Ash. She didn't.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn smiled reassuringly at Ashriel. Nothing to worry about. He responded to Jennalin without looking at her. "Just tell her no. How hard can it be?" He said, sounding confused. Having raised himself practically, he didn't understand what the big issue was. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin sighed. "Impossible. That's how hard. The minute you go to say no, she seems to know, and she guilt trips you into giving in. She doesn't take no for an answer; literally, she will not stop until you say yes." She answered easily, looking at Raevyn. She sat herself at the table, putting on a fake smile for Ashriel.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn looked unimpressed. "So you're just going to give in and do something you don't want to?" He could tell she didn't want to go. So it baffled him why she would give in like that. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"I don't have a choice in the matter. Lucian and mum were up at all hours last night, Lucian fighting for me to stay here. However...Mum won, pulling out the attacks earlier this year to support her argument. Lucian had no way to combat it...and neither do I." Jennalin told Raevyn simply, unable to figure out a way out.

Raevyn shrugged. "Who cares who won the argument? If you just refuse to go, she can't make you." He said simply, with all the experience of someone without a mother.

"Actually, she can. She's already blackmailing Luke. Says if I don't go, she'll tell my dad about the entire thing. And if he finds out, well...Lucian will be on the next plane to France in a kitty carrier..." Jennalin answered quietly, part of her grateful that she wasn't a Were.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn arched an eyebrow. "Why would he do that? Lucian's a grown cat. He can take care of himself." He sounded confused by what Jennalin was telling him. Lucian seemed so independant. How could someone who wasn't even here make him do something? The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Let's just say that there is a reason that dad doesn't know where Lucian lived. Lucian actually signed a contract to work for dad until dad said it ended, or one of them died. It's really complicated...just believe me. I don't have a choice." Jennalin explained to Raevyn, giving up after a while.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn just shook his head slowly. "I don't understand....." He said simply, giving a shrug. "So what are you going to do? Just give in and go?" The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin nodded, her eyes on Raevyn. All through this conversation, Ashriel's glow had slowly been growing. She turned about abruptly, and, seeing the nod, she frowned. "So this entire time you were having a conversation without me? Wow, I'm loved, now aren't I?" Her memory of the day before had come back nearly completely, and this event wasn't helping. Her glow was spiking up to the point where it would be easily visible for even a normal human, and Ashriel was hurrying out the door, into the crowded streets. "Was...was Ash just glowing?" Jennalin asked aloud, jumping out of her seat to turn to go toward the door. On the table were both Ash's and Raevyn's cellphones, meaning that Ash hadn't cared whether or not he followed, or if he could find her. Likely, she wasn't even thinking about them at all.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn gestured for Jennalin to sit down as he grabbed his cell phone. "Stay here. Lucian will skin me alive if anything happens to you. I'll get Ash." He ducked out the front door, shifting into a cat as he did so. He raced after Ashriel, following her scent. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin sighed, going to sit down on the couch, turning on the television, and she stared at it nervously. Ashriel was hurrying through the crowd of people on the sidewalk, people turning and staring at her as she moved. Her glow was vivid enough to be seen nearly a block away; she looked like a moving indigo streetlight. Tears ran down her cheeks as she ran down the street blindly, running straight into someone Raevyn would recognize; they were right in front of the Were bar Ashriel had gone in with Raevyn that first week they'd known each other.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sighed, seeing her up ahead, her glow bright. He hissed curses to himself. He'd really pulled a stupid move there.......Would have been better to just put the conversation out in the open. His eyes widened as he saw Ashriel bump into Remy, the meanest tempered of the bears at Sanctuary. He hurriedly ran to stand between the two, hissing at Remy and warning him off. "Ashriel, get back to the house. Right now. Remy is not one to mess with. I will explain everything, I promise. I was about to when you noticed. Just, go back. Please." The tiger that should be....isn't....
