((I dunno, when Falon first showed up you called her a "kid close to Riley's age" when eight years is quite the age difference.))
"Leave me alone, like I'm gonna think about that when mom n' dad are getting beat up right now!" Riley said as he ran a bit to keep up with Falon and trying not to cry.

"They'll live. Your parents used to fight everyday of their lives, one little fight isn't going to end them." Falon told him calmly as she began climbing the stairs to an abandoned looking apartment building.

"Well, you can't be out on the streets, it's not safe to go home, and you're sister is unconscious, so you may as well stay here and wait it out." Falon muttered as she opened a door at the end of the hallway, revealing a basic, but clean looking apartment. She put Cali down on the couch and went over to the fridge, pulling out a water and handing it to Riley.

Riley took the water, looking between it and Falon and back again before walking over to the couch and sitting down on the floor in front of it. He was still freaking out and wanted to stay close to his sister, hoping she'd wake up soon.

"You can relax. Those guys don't know where I am. So they're not going to find you either." Falon told Riley sitting on top of the counter as she pulled out a book.

"D'you know who those guys were? Or what they wanted with mom and dad?" Riley asked as he just stared down at the water that he held in his lap, not really thirsty enough to drink it at the moment.

"Well their leader is a guy named Amun. But he goes by Seth. Lately he's been collecting mutates so he can control them to collect more. I'm not entirely sure what he's planning yet, though from what I can tell, he's probably planning some sort of attack on New York." Falon told Riley as she shrugged, still looking at her book.

Riley pulled his knees in as he started to curl up into a scared ball. He didn't like the idea of his parents getting controlled like mindless puppets or something.

Finally Cali started coming around, groaning as she slowly sat up and rubbed her head. Once she was awake enough, her eyes snapped open as she looked around frantically, grabbing Riley and pulling him into a hug once she spotted him. "Oh thank god you're okay." She muttered, still holding him tight.
"Cute. Glad to see you're still among the living." Falon said with a wry smile as she looked up from her book.
"Do I know you?..." Cali asked as she looked back at Falon, her eyes narrowing.

"That lady from before knocked you out and Falon saved us." Riley mumbled as he kept hugging his sister tightly.

"Falon?" Cali asked, still looking at the girl that was a few feet away.
"Yes. I'm Falon. And you would've been screwed if I hadn't been nearby." She muttered.
"Wait a second...you! You're that voice I was hearing!" Cali growled as she jumped up, Hazama taking a hold of Falon by the collar. "Why didn't you give me more warning about the attack if you knew it was going to happen!?"
Falon gave Cali a dead stare as Hazama held her up. "Well let's see. If I warned you about it too much, then Seth and his group would know where I am and try to get me back, also he might've not been able to just go and take your parents then. At least this way your parents stay alive and you're not with them so you can actually do something to save them." She said calmly.

Riley clung to Cali's leg. "Please leave her alone, sis..." he mumbled. "I don't wanna think about what could've happened if she didn't show up."

As she kept her glare on Falon, Cali sighed and had Hazama put her down and let her go before making the thing disappear. "Fine." She muttered, finally turning back to Riley. "Hey. Everything's going to be alright, okay? We're safe now and we'll get mom and dad back." She told the boy, trying to reassure him.

"It's not just that...." Riley muttered as he stared down at the ground. "My power sucks.....You got knocked out and then I finally got my power and I thought I'd get to be the hero but that lady just swatted it away like it was nothing!" he sobbed as he looked up at Cali. It didn't help that the image brought to life was their father, who he of course saw as the equivalent of a superhero who couldn't be beaten like most boys his age.
