Raevyn took advantage, popping the food into her mouth. "No buts about it. Colt has it under control. You need to eat." He told her simply, scooping up the next bite.

Ashriel pouted, sighing. She looked away from Raevyn now, out the window. At that moment, she didn't want to be sitting right there - she wanted to be moving about, anywhere else. "I told you, I'm not hungry." She answered solidly, her stubborn streak flaring up again.

Raevyn closed his eyes briefly, fighting the urge to curse. "Five more bites, alright? Decent sized bites. And then I'll let you get back to work, agreed?" He tried a different tactic, settling on getting as much food as possible into her, if not all of it.

Ashriel looked at him carefully. "Five bites. And I can work. Promise?" She asked easily, not trying to take the fork back at that point.

"Five good sized bites." Raevyn clarified. He didn't want her cheating by taking tiny bites. "And then you can work some more. I promise." He told her seriously, agreeing. Whatever it took to get her to eat. Damn, he'd never had such a hard time getting someone to agree to something.

Ashriel thought for a moment before nodding. "Alright." She answered, looking at the fork. In her eyes, the bites Raevyn had been giving her were huge; she was still too upset to eat a substantial amount. It was somewhat obvious that she thought that Raevyn's normal sized bites were beyond huge as she looked at the fork, debating whether or not to take it from him.

Raevyn moved the fork to her mouth. "Thank you." He said softly, offering the food to her.

Ashriel opened her mouth quietly, taking the food off the fork. She ate it silently, her fingers fiddling with each other.

Raevyn patiently fed her the other four bites, making sure they weren't tiny little things. When she swallowed the last bite, he stood up and gathered the dishes. "Alright. Let's get back to work."

Ashriel sighed thankfully when he let her out, quickly moving to wait on people who were just entering. She moved easily about, seemingly not caring as the after work crowd rolled in, followed by the dinner crowd. Quickly, she moved about, serving every table she could. She continued to do so even as the dinner crowd rolled out and the late night rush moved in.

Raevyn kept a close eye on Ashriel as he worked. Just before the night rush really started coming in, he caught her and pulled her to a stop. "I know, I know. It's busy and you don't want to stop. But at least eat this then please." He put a sausage roll into her hands. It wasn't much, three or four bites, but he would feel better with something in her stomach.

Ashriel sighed. "Fine..." She answered, giving in earlier for this one so that she didn't have to stop working for too long. She ate it quickly, finishing it up before looking at him. "Can I get back to work now?" She asked anxiously, not wanting to lose the tips from the tables she was currently serving.

"Yes." Raevyn nodded and moved away, to continue serving tables. Awhile later, he paused Ashriel again with another sausage roll. Apparently he was taking a different route. If she wouldn't stop to eat, maybe he could get her to eat a few bites here and there.

"I thought I just ate." Ashriel stated when he stopped her again with another sausage roll. She seemed confused, and she was in the middle of bringing someone their food.

"That was awhile ago. It'll take two second to eat it. So don't argue and just eat, please." Raevyn told her bluntly. He glanced at the customers. "Hurry and eat so you can get back to them. It's only like, four bites. Max."
