Just face it. Mouse is amazing.
I saw that you were back, so I was wondering if you want to continue this...I wouldn't mind if you didn't, but I did really enjoy it...
See, that wasn't so bad, was it? Actually... (BE QUIET!)

Once upon a time there was a girl You really wouldn't call her typical Had her own definition of cool She lived in her own world
Raevyn shook his head, seeing the aura. "I love you and everything Ashriel, but if you leave right now, you put everyone in danger." He said quietly. He gestured to the aura. "How am I supposed to explain that to anyone? You can't control your powers. It's dangerous for you to be out there. For you AND for me. Because if people find out about you, they'll start looking more and they'll eventually find me and the rest of my people. We'll be hunted like animals." She had her own style, her own rules She played along like it was usual Nobody really even knew her name To her life was one big game

Ashriel took a deep breath, calmly down a bit. "Alright...I guess you are right." She said softly before looking at Lucian. He was standing by the couch, trying to figure out what he could say. Raevyn had a good point. Lucian was actually starting to wonder a bit more about Ashriel, though, because of the fact that she'd brightened Raevyn's aura, not her own, this time. "Did...did we at least make enough yesterday?" She asked softly, and Lucian stepped away. "I'm going to make a phone call." He said, walking into the kitchen.

"One night's shift is never enough." Raevyn told her quietly. "I'm sorry Ash." He nuzzled her gently. Though his attention seemed focused on Ashriel, he kept an ear on Lucian, wondering what the other cat was suddenly doing. Ashriel sighed, looking down. "It's alright...I guess it's probably my fault." She gave in, her eyes looking down. A weak smile came to her face as she looked at Raevyn, ignoring Lucian. In the kitchen, Lucian was talking only loud enough for the phone and Raevyn to be able to catch his voice. "Hello? Mum. Listen. I know, but...She can handle herself now! For pity's sake, she's almost nineteen! Stop babying her! I swear, next time that won't happen. First, the attacks have stopped. Yes, they've stopped. Yes, I'm sure. Don't tell me that. I know what I'm doing. She can defend herself, even if the attack hadn't stopped. Fine. If you won't listen to that argument, listen to this one: Ash stopped eating again. She fainted yesterday, Mum, because she tried to work and not eat. She wanted to try and come over there and get Jen. Yes, she did. No, I'm not lying. Why would I lie about something like that!" He stopped once in a while for the person on the other line - apparently his mother - and his voice became slowly more impatient.

Raevyn shook his head fiercely. "I don't ever want to hear you say that, alright? It was NOT your fault. You worked as hard as you could, more than you should have. There is no way it is your fault." He told her stubbornly, listening to Lucian in the background. He kissed Ashriel softly. "It's not your fault. Never." He repeated softly. Ashriel widened her eyes, looking at Raevyn. "Are...are you sure?" Her stubbornness seemed to have ebbed, likely because of what Raevyn had said earlier. The bright aura had disappeared, and she seemed a bit more relaxed as she sat there. "I...I guess you are right." She conceded, looking down again. Lucian was still in the kitchen, arguing with his mother. "Look, if you don't believe me, Raevyn would be able to say the same exact thing. I bet he even had others working with them that could verify it. Why would I lie about something so serious? Please, let Jennalin come back. How does she feel about being over there? That's what I thought. At least give me a few weeks to prove it. IF she gets into too much danger that neither myself, herself, or Raevyn can help her alone, then I'll agree to send her back. Deal? Good. I'll pick her up from the airport...three days? Okay...Got it." He said easily. "Bye Mum." He came back into the other room with a grin on his face...

"I'm sure Ash." Raevyn said softly. He broke out into a grin, hearing Lucian. As the other cat came back into the room, Raevyn nudged Ash to look at Lucian. "He's got some good news for you." Ashriel looked at Raevyn, confused, when he began grinning. "What do you mean?" She asked before she looked at Lucian. "Jen will be back in a few days. I made a deal with Mum." He told her, and Ashriel's smile brightened to become real. "Really?" Lucian simply nodded. "If you want, I can go get you two some groceries..." He said softly, looking for a reason to leave them alone now.

Raevyn nodded, guess why Lucian was offering. "That would be good please." He said in accepting. He rested his chin on Ashriel's shoulder, glad to see her smiling again. Really smiling. Lucian nodded, leaving out the door. He shut it after him, smiling to himself. Ashriel hugged Raevyn quietly, taking a deep breath. "Why was Lucian here, anyway?" She asked softly, curiously. The girl now glanced around their home quietly as she sat there.

"Lucian was just checking up on you. He was worried." Raevyn said with a shrug. "You had us all worried." He ran one hand through her hair softly. She had her own style, her own rules She played along like it was usual Nobody really even knew her name To her life was one big game

Ashriel looked at Raevyn quietly. "I - I made you guys worry? I'm sorry..." She said, thinking carefully to herself. Again the same thing she had tried so hard to avoid. "I'm really, really, really sorry." She continued to apologize again as she sat there, although she remained more relaxed than normally as he ran his hand through her hair.

Raevyn continued to thread his fingers through her hair gently. "Shh. I don't you. Don't apologize." He kissed her forehead. "It's alright. It doesn't matter." He told her comfortingly. "But...but I made you worry. And that...that's a bad thing, since I obviously could have helped it." Ashriel answered, taking a deep breath as she looked at Raevyn. She was a bit more relaxed because of his fingers in her hair. "Are you sure that it is okay?" She asked, her eyes looking at him solidly. "Thank you..." She mumbled after that, perhaps not even audible, or just barely so.
