Van gentle set the baby down on the bed for a quick moment while he changed pants, not even bothering with a shirt right now as he tied his hair back and scooped little Anise up and waited for Mala before leaving the room.

"I'd normally let the new mommy have the honors of showing her to the world, but I've barely gotten to hold her yet." Van said with a grin as he followed Mala downstairs.

"You felt the same bit of pain I did, so I don't see why you shouldn't be able to show her off." Mala said, not minding that Van would be the one holding her instead.

When Mala and Van came into the room, Larai looked over to the baby in her eyes. She smiled broadly. "So, do I have a brother or a sister?"

((Leaving soon. I have a bunch of painting to do today, so don't expect me to be posting any time soon. But if it fit in my scanner, believe me when I say I'd put the finished product up on my DA. Yes, it's hw, but it's going to be awesome and look like TRON lines. cool ))
"Sister. We would've gone with Mai, but we decided on Anise instead." Van joked at their previous naming conventions as he smiled at the baby he gently bounced in his arms.
((And then future free time may be spent playing Pokemon White. biggrin ))

Larai got up to look at the child, grinning widely when she saw Anise. "Aaaw, she's so cuu-OW!" she began, only to yelp OW when the baby yanked her hair as it got too close. Anise giggled.

"Sorry, should've warned you about that." Van said with a chuckle. "She seems to like grabbing things, and even then plenty of tots seem to like grabbing at long hair, and I'm speaking from personal experience." he said looking back down at Anise, tenderly prying her tiny hand from her sister's hair and giving her his finger to grab at instead.

Now rubbing her head from the slight headache she now had while still keeping a smile, Larai said, "I'll be sure to watch out for that next time. Well, at least you know she's a pretty strong baby."

"I don't know about that, Kai. I like talking to Daemon about literature. When he's not chasing skirts, he really isn't that bad." Larai said with a smile, having no clue that she was defending the b*****d who stole her innocence. "But Anise is Anise, so she'll be way better anyway. Oh won't you, you strong little titan?" she cooed, grinning at the baby.

"Say 'hi' Anise," Van cooed, gently lifting one of her hands to wave. "these are your brother and sister, Kai and Larai." A roadblock came to mind about toting their newborn baby on their dangerous journey, but didn't say anything lest he ruin the moment.
