*looks up Bath, Carolina since that's where Black Sails Blackbeard was residing with Mary Ormond* *chuckles at the first landmark that pops up on Google Maps* Blackbeard's Tavern. Of course. It must be a sign.

"Even if you are a pirate, I would expect better respect from you towards Lady Townsend," said the gentleman. "Townsend?" echoed Jack, before turning to look at Mary Anne. "I thought your name was Ormond." "Ormond, Drummond," said Mary Anne, shrugging. "A name changes over time when people don't hear properly. Townsend was my name before I married Edward." She glanced over catching the faint hum coming from Vane who leaned against the wall in the shadows. "As I was saying," continued the gentleman, tearing his eyes away from the pirates around him that he had been glaring disdainfully at. "We will need to determine what we wish to do with these incoming visitors." "I don't know why you came to me regarding this," said Mary Anne. "I am not in charge of the going-ons here at Nassau." "And yet Miss Guthrie is nowhere to be found," reasoned the gentleman. "I thought it only logical that-" "That the only other respectable lady on the island would have command?" The gentleman shifted in his chair nervously. "I don't know whether to be honored... or insulted," continued Mary Anne. "Though I do not like your insinuation that my fellow pirates here are not able to run their own island." "Madam, regardless of your... unorthodox familiarity with these... men-" said the gentleman. "And women," Mary Anne added, venom starting to seep into her voice. The gentleman shifted uncomfortably before continuing as if he hadn't been interrupted. "They are not recognized by the Crown as having authority to make decisions in regards to this island." "And yet you indicate that I do?" said Mary Anne. She sighed as she stood up and walked over to look out the window besides Vane. He glanced over at her and the corner of his mouth twerked up slightly, knowing full well what she meant by the statement. "You are a member of a respectable family, miss. You have given the Crown no reason to question your authority and ability to make political decisions." Mary Anne turned to look at the gentleman. "Very well then," said Mary Anne. "I say let these visitors come to our island. They know full well what they are getting themselves into, so there's no need to try to deter them. If anything, it'll bring in much needed revenue for Nassau. I believe Elinor would appreciate having a new crowd come through to enjoy our unique market." "You... you would let them in?" "You have a problem with my decision, sir?" "N-No, m'am." "Then get out of my sight. I am beginning to grow tiresome of your company." "Y-yes, m'am," said the gentleman, stumbling over himself as he quickly exited the room. No one said a thing for a moment. "Well... he was... quite something," said Jack. "You think it wise?" asked Vane. "Having those ships dock in our waters?" "Like I said," said Mary Anne, smiling at him. "They know what they are getting themselves into. If they are wanting to stir up trouble, they will be quickly outnumbered."
