Ashriel sighed, taking a deep breath. She nodded although Raevyn couldn't see her. "Alright. I will. I'll...err...leave a note. Okay?" She answered softly, sighing. "I'm sorry..."

She lived in her own world
Raevyn ran a hand through his short hair, realizing he was being over protective. "Don't worry about it alright? Just, next time a note would be nice. Just so I know. I'm sorry I'm being over protective. Have fun today, alright?" He said, sounding more cheerful now. He wanted her to be happy and if this was what made her happy, then so be it. At least he didn't have to deal with Lixini. "I have my cell if you need me so I'll leave you to your girl time. See you later."

Ashriel took a deep breath as she listened to Raevyn. She relaxed a bit, smiling. "Okay..." She answered quietly before she spoke again. "I'm sorry, I'm still not quite used to somebody actually caring where I went off to." She said softly, at a level that Lixini and Alex couldn't hear her. Alright, I'll call you if anything happens...bye..."

"I will always care Ashriel. I love you. Have fun." Raevyn said, a smile in his voice before he hung up. He stared at the phone for a minute, then tucked it in his pocket. He sighed and looked around the house, realizing he had nothing to do. He had. Nothing. To. Do. A grin spread across his face. He moved the cellphone to the table where he wouldn't wreck it accidentally and went to play with his catnip bell.

Mouse is amazing.
Ashriel smiled as Raevyn said that he would always care. "I love you too...thank you..." She answered softly, hanging up calmly. She was glad he did call, but she looked up when he hang up. Alex glanced to his sister for a moment before driving out, speeding toward their house.
See, that wasn't so bad, was it?

When they arrived back home, Lixini bounced out of the car excitedly, urging Ashriel on. "Come on! Time to girlify!" She said with a giggle, unlocking the door and heading in. "Mom! We're back! Ash and I will be in our room!" She announced before dragging Ashriel upstairs.

Ashriel laughed as she followed Lixini out of the car. She followed Lixini easily up to the other girl's room, completely used to being dragged around. She was, however, slightly surprised when she didn't see Valixia home. After all, Val was usually there when Ash came over.

Lixini plopped Ash down on the bed, ignoring her surprise.. She grabbed up her files and other tools, grinning at Ashriel. "Finger or toe nails first?" She asked with a laugh.

"Toenails it is!" Lixini chirped happily. She settled on the bed across from Ashriel, setting her things around her. She pulled one of Ash's feet towards her, pulling off shoe and sock. She went to work with a will, running the file across her nails to smooth and shape them. [n]"Hey Ash? Wanna reach behind you and hit play on the cd player? Then we'll have music!"

Lixini began singing along with the sappy love songs that blared from the cd player. For all her goofiness, she had a pleasant voice, matching the music note for note and word for word. She put the nail files away, satisfied with her work. Pulling out the nail polish, she set to work with the two colors, mixing them in unique patterns on each nail.

Ashriel smiled as Lixini sang along with the songs. As the girl sang, Ash smiled more and more, thinking carefully. After a moment, Ash grinned mischievously. "You know what would be fun? If you tried for one of those singing shows!"
