I love cats. I have nine little brats.
They're so cute, all under a year. ^-^ And growing up so beautifully!

I like cats too. but my mom and sister are horribly allergic to them.
Working at a pet shop should also most likely entail verious fish, reptiles, dogs, birds, and rodents.
Plus, hanging out in a pet shop all day can attract a rather, pugnent odor that repels people sometimes. you know that wet dog smell? it's kidn of like that, but it's also the smell of pet food.

 I'm allergic to cats so I can't work too closely with them. My allergies kick up in a most annoying way by closing off my throat so I can't breathe.
@Karu - Maybe in the US it takes 8 years, but there's a course in Canada called Animal Heath Technology that is completed in two years. It will allow me to work as a zoo keeper or a vet assistant, etc. I don't need to major in zoology.
I don't care if I get respect or whatever. I'll be doing what I want.

That's like people think that our house must be a pigstye because we have 9 cats.
No....My house is clean! Thank you very much! I'm sorry, if some people make those comments thinking it's impossible to keep a place with that many kitties clean. Maybe, they can't but I CAN. It bugs the hell out of me when people say that.
Cats are very clean creatures. They're practically OCD about it.
Sorry, ranting!
