Leila's eyes went wide at how close Nicholas had gotten and at his words. I'm' not sure I'm ready for this, she thought, despite the fact that her body seemed to be saying the exact opposite of her brain.

Nick saw the look in her eyes, realizing he wasn't doing the right thing at all. He stopped rubbing, removing his hand from her back. "I'm sorry..." He uttered, now holding onto his own legs. "I didn't intend to go that far and still don't." He said, feeling utterly shameful now.

Leila deftly reached behind her back and fixed her bra straps. She shook her head. "No, I'm sorry, Nicholas. I started that, and I should have known it would go farther than I'd planned for...which wasn't all that far ahead in the first place."

Nicholas looked over at her, his eyes a tad widened. "All I meant by to let it go is so you could doing something like hug me or hold my other hand. I was just gonna keep rubbing your back. I didn't meant to scare or think I was trying to do something else." Nicholas said, a tad panicked as well.

Leila groaned and smacked her forehead with the palm of her hand. "I'm sorry. Now I know that miscommunication was my fault." She sighed and reached out to brush a lock of Nicholas's hair back from his face. "I'm way more sensitive in this form than I am normally, and it affects the way I perceive things, too. I'm sorry for not telling you that earlier, Nicholas."

Nicholas just fell over, wrapping his arms around her waist as he laid his head on her legs. "I shouldn't have tried rubbed your back... I should have just let you rest on my shoulder and hold your hand. I didn't want to cause discomfort or fear... Not at all..." He uttered, still saying it's all his fault.

"O-ok. S-sor- I mean... got it!" He said, almost apologizing again. He hugged her tighter but was a little more relaxed when she started to stroke his hair.

Leila laughed at Nicholas's word fumble. She flicked his ear with her tail. "Hey, not so hard, silly. I still have to breathe, y'know," she said, not sounding at all like the subservient, obedient slave she'd been in front of Nicholas's father.

Nicholas quickly loosened his grip, not wanting to hurt her. "My bad!" He said, flinching a little when she flicked his tail.
