Didn't realize how long it's been since I last posted here. Though I've been busy doing other stuff, so that's taken up the time I usually come on here.

I've been training a new gal to fill in our weekend evening receptionist position. She ended up calling in sick today, so I don't have to worry about doing any training today.

It's so hard to train for these evening positions though since most of the tasks I typically train as daytime stuff (such as making appointments and ride, etc.) Like I still let them know how to do it, in case they cover for day time stuff but... *shrugs* I don't know. When the evening position is such a brand new thing, it's hard to know what to have as evening specific stuff.

I find it hard what to do training wise with this gal too because she seems to be adapting well to the environment and claims she doesn't have any questions about the material I have in the "task list" document I created. But... I don't know. I guess I was used to the previous gals who would constantly ask questions or get clarification about things. More interaction with me about stuff.
*shrugs* At this point, I'm just like "Well, if she doesn't have any questions, we'll just have to throw her to the wolves and let her learn that way."

I'm so sad Dead Boy Detectives got cancelled. I instantly fell in love with the first season and was so hoping there would be more content, especially since there were already ties with Sandman (which is getting another season) and Doom Patrol.

It's really hard to have any current fandoms to be actively involved with because their production companies keep cancelling them. Especially with the new shows. This whole "Cancel After One Season" is becoming quite tiresome for me.

It's also hard when there's pretty much only one show that's keeping me staying on a particular streaming service and it's one I still want to re-watch when I feel like it... and it hasn't been released on DVD yet. talk2hand

I'm planning on reading a bunch of spooky, witchy stuff for October. Some will be books I already own in real life... but I'll try to do some through Libby too.

I started watching a show called Best In Miniature. My parents got me hooked on it because I watched an episode or two with them when I was visiting awhile back, so Dad got all of the episodes for me to watch.
Sometimes I get annoyed with how particular their guidelines are for their room challenges. Like in the first season in the bedroom, they were like "It must have a four-poster bed" and one gal didn't do a bed with the four posts (partly due to not having time to do so), and the judges were all disappointed by it. Where as I was like "But the bed she created suits the theme of her housing better than any four-post bed would have."

It is fun to see what the contestants come up with for each of their rooms. I especially love the contestants that are telling a progressing story with each new room they have to design/decorate.

It's made me start thinking of what I would do myself if I was ever creating a miniature house. Probably will even create a Pinterest board to bookmark the ideas that are floating about in my head right now.

Well... after that whole fiasco of dealing with several residents... I am ready to call it a day work wise.
And I'm also a bit glad our new gal didn't have to experience that. Like, yes, she'll eventually have to deal it. But I don't want her to get scared off right off the bat with such events. sweatdrop
