Ashriel glanced at Raevyn for a moment before grinning even more broadly. "I'm craving cookies and we don't have any. That, and I have to celebrate the fact Jen is back!" She answered, walking quickly about the kitchen as she put them together.

Raevyn glanced at Jen and Lucian then shrugged. "Hey. If the lady wants to bake, I personally am not inclined to stop her." He said bluntly. He'd learned long ago that unless it was absolutely necessary, it was simply easier to let Ashriel do as she wanted.

Ashriel preheated the oven, grinning broadly. She nodded to Raevyn as she began to form the cookies, and Jennalin said one thing, very softly, under her breath. "You do have a fire extinguisher, right?"

Jennalin nodded, going over to sit on the sofa. She was not about to go in the kitchen while Ash was attempting to bake. Lucian leaned against the door, his eyes almost all the way shut. That is, until the oven buzzer went of that said the oven was preheated, causing Lucian to jump. Ashriel laughed at Lucian before opening the oven and sliding the cookies in. She set the timer and went over to Raevyn and hugged him suddenly, not thinking about what she was doing at this point.

Mouse is amazing.
Ashriel grinned up at Raevyn, answering easily. "Chocolate chip." She answered, and coming from anyone else, that might have been true. However, she had not used any chocolate chips whatsoever - the pair had not even ever bought any to keep at home. With these two words, Jennalin turned around curiously, wondering if it was possible that Ash actually knew what she was baking without a recipe in front of her.
See, that wasn't so bad, was it?

Ashriel blinked, appearing rather surprised at his statement. "We don't?" She questioned, surprised. "Then I have no idea what kind of cookies I'm making." Lucian face-palmed at Ashriel's statement, while Jennalin wasn't so surprised.

Ashriel laughed lightly, hugging against him. "Yes, they will." She said, and a miniature explosion could be heard from in the oven. If one looked on the counter, one might notice an empty packet of yeast...

Ashriel seemed confused. For someone as smart as she was, she was really dumb when it came to baking. After all, she did not do it often, and never without a recipe guiding her. "Yeah, I thought yeast went in everything you bake. Just like eggs, and flour..." Jennalin had already gotten up, and she was staring warily at the oven.
