Ashriel looked at him softly, still crying. "I-it's n-not." Hiccup. "Y-your f-f-fault." Hiccup. "I-I'm a-always s-st-stup-p-pid." She stuttered, looking at him. Honestly, she was trying to stop crying, so that he didn't feel bad. She hated making other people feel bad.

 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn opened his mouth to deliver a sharp retort but closed it suddenly, not wanting to make the situation worse. He hugged Ashriel, smoothing her hair with one hand. After a moment, he said softly, "You just need to learn to think first." It was the much, much nicer version of what he'd wanted to say. But he could see she was already beating herself up. He didn't need to add to it.  The tiger that should be....isn't....

"I-I." Hiccup. "G-guess s-s-so." Ashriel hiccuped again, her tears slowly stopping. She knew she was horrible about acting before she even thought first, she always had been. "P-perhaps th-that's w-why m-my p-p-par-rents th-threw m-me ou-out." She stuttered the words out, but by the way she said them, it was obvious that she didn't know that she said them aloud.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn continued to stroke her hair soothingly. "I don't think so." He said softly. "I think your parents are just retarded and beyond stupid." His voice, though soft, was surprisingly full of venom - For someone he'd never even met. He hated people who just threw someone out and expected them to live. He knew the feeling all too well and hated it. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel was slightly startled as he answered her although she didn't show it at all. Slowly, her tears had become deep breaths, and a small smile was developing on her face. When she was calm, she always smiled. It didn't matter if she had no reason whatsoever, she still smiled. Her eyes, tired from the crying, slowly began to shut as she took deep breaths, and she gradually began to fall to sleep.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn breathed a sigh of relief as he felt Ashriel calming down. He hated seeing females upset. Feeling her drifting off to sleep, he carefully shifted her, laying her down on the bed. "Sleep well Ashriel." He murmured and smoothed back her hair one last time. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Raevyn left the room with a sigh. He returned to the kitchen where he spent a futile hour trying to do his homework. All that was running through his mind though, was that image of Ashriel, half out the window. Finally he gave up and put the papers back in his bag. He stood in the middle of the kitchen, deciding. He was hungry, so he started making some food. The tiger that should be....isn't....

--yup, supper is about when ash would be waking up...--
Ashriel slowly began to wake up, her head pounding. Okay, so she had been crying right before she fell asleep. She was chilled by a sudden breeze, and her eyes slid over to see the open window. Already she had gotten up and closed it before realizing what had happened. She wandered out into the dining room area, hoping to apologize to Raevyn.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn was humming to himself and he moved around the kitchen, preparing supper for Ashriel and himself. His sharp ears caught her movements but he pretended he hadn't heard, waiting to see what she would do. He hoped she wasn't about to yell or demand an apology. As much as he hated seeing girls cry, he wasn't apologizing.

"I'm sorry." Ashriel said quietly, knowing that he could hear her. Moving quickly, she went back to the bathroom to get into the medicine cabinet. Tylenol...none. Ibuprofen...none. Aspirin...none. Why didn't she have any pain reliever? Darn it. She kicked the bathroom sink, immediately regretting it. "OUCH!" She yelled. Well, at least she'd forgotten about the headache.

He frowned though, hearing her yell. "Are you alright?" He called to her from the kitchen. "What'd you do?" The tiger that should be....isn't....

It was clear he'd forgiven her, already back to his normal teasing self. "Oh wait, let me think.....People generally don't yell 'ouch' for no reason, that's why."
