Miranda giggled, watching Lucian's face loose all tenseness. He was acting silly! That was the way he was though, and she couldn't judge him for it. "A kiss is nothing to throw him in there for," she said seriously, holding her hand out to her husband. When he walked over and took it, she pulled him in for a hug, "And he's a man. He should be sticking up for himself now and again."
Lucian went slack in Miranda's arms. He couldn't stand up to her. She was his spoiled little bird, and he would commit any sin under the sun for her. He was hers, body and soul. "I understand Lessit," he said with a sigh, looking down at her, smiling and going in for a kiss. He cared not if his son was there or not, he would kiss his wife when he pleased. After, he looked up at Torisen and said, "You are free. However," he said, his eyes flicking from him to Angel and back, "If you are going to kiss, do it somewhere private."
Tori smiled at his father and mother, nodding vigorously. If that was all the warning he was going to get, he was glad for it! Father usually didn't give warnings. "Understood Father," he said with a smile, "Understood Mother. If I can be dismissed now," he said with a smile, "I need to get to sword practice."

Fang watched easily and smiled a little, when Lucian and Miranda kissed. It was odd to see the demon-like man seem to melt in the woman's arms and she understood why Tori had wanted to hide there. "Have we missed all of Etiquette lessons, already?" She wondered aloud stepping a little closer to Tori as if to take the formal place of a guard.

Miranda giggled again, tightening her arms around Lucian. "My my, you are a bad boy! Oh well, I guess it can't be helped," she said, looking down at Lucian.
Lucian nodded, in agreement with his wife. "True," he said, a slight smile on his lips, "Just go. I shall call upon you later for dinner. Make sure you both wear proper attire. Dismissed."
Tori nodded and bowed a formal bow to his parents. "Yes Father." Opening the door and walking out of the room, he shut the door as soon as Fang walked through and picked her up, spinning her. She was allowed at the Royal Table! That was a good sign. A very good sign. "I bet Mother will want to dress you," he said with a smile, "She loves dressing up girls."

((sorry, I've been away))
Fang giggled at being spun. It felt extremely deja-vu-ish. She waited to be put down before blinking, "Dress me? woah woah woah...I don't DO dressed up...got it? The most fancy thing I even OWN is what I wore to that dinner with you and Meiyu." she looked flustered. she ran a hand through her hair and took hold of his forearm tugging him down the hall, and shaking er head, "Come on...you've got class...we will DISCUSS this later." she emphasized the word discuss, because by rhe D word, she actually meant she was telling him just how much she didn't really WANT to be having dinner with his skeevy father.

((is everything ok?)) Tori looked at her, his eyes drooping a bit. "Well, you gotta go as my guard anyway..." he muttered, getting dragged down the hall, "So I think it would be better to wear something mother picks out. Besides, you wouldn't want to see her sad, would you?" he asked, thinking of his mother. She would be disappointed in great volumes. Fang was a pretty girl, and his mother was a sucker for pretty girls. If she was denied... Father would get angry... And then hell would break loose. "Won't you at least think about it?" he pleaded, not wanting to be in trouble with his father twice in one day, "Really, really, REALLY hard?"

"Seriously...that was the only dress I own...and for a reason." she shrugged, "I don't look good dressed up...I just don't...it doesn't suit me well. I've tried it before." she laughed, "It was like dressing a skunk to look like a princess." she scoffed. When dressed up, she just looked plain out of place, she couldn't help it. "I just realised...I don't know where your class is." she laughed, letting go of his arm. It was odd for anyone that saw them, because Fang was almost a full head shorter than him, and obviously younger, yet she had this air of strength about her.
((It wasn't, but now it is))

Tori laughed, walking beside her. "Hey, I didn't say mother would put you in a dress," he said with a smile, "She can appreciate a pretty girl in a pair of slacks." From what he heard, girls wore slacks. He wouldn't know for sure, but that's what he heard.

"Yeah?...I can deal with slacks." Fang gave him her best devious grin that meant she'd not be changing anything about herself, for others. "You know?...you smile a lot." she looked up at him curiously. The boy was so odd! When she'd first met him he was a bloodied heap of depressed feathers...since then she'd come to see him and got the job, she didn't think she'd seen him frown other than in the glass prison, which would not be repaired for a bit after the bit of work they did on it, to get him out.

Tori raised an eyebrow, confused. "Really? The maids and butlers are always telling me that I could smile more," he said with a thinking sound. He hadn't ever really had a reason to smile...he didn't have any friends. The only one he really talked to was Uncle, and that was only because he raised Tori. "I wonder why..." he said thoughtfully, walking to class.

"I know...you're so odd." she stuck her tongue out at him, "like, have you realised that your body guard is 6 years younger than you?" Fang was just teasing him now, bumping him with her hip and raising an eyebrow.

Tori laughed, bumping her back and giving her a playful glare. "Hey, age shouldn't matter with lots of things," he said, matter-of-fact, "Like how I'm a Prince and I act way younger than I really am! And you," he said, preparing to cringe, "You act like a woman in her fourties!" He said it with a chuckle, hoping she wouldn't hit him too hard. He didn't want to have any bruises for the big trip. Thinking of the big trip... "Hey, aren't we leaving for the border today?" he asked Fang, remembering that Meiyu was supposed to be here soon so they could all leave. Then her remembered he hadn't packed anything. "And I haven't packed!" he yelled, running to class. He needed to get it over with so he could pack his stuff!

Fang gave him a nice smack in the back side of the head, "If I'm an old lady, then RESPECT YOUR ELDERS!" she hissed, crossing her arms, and wondering vaguely if she had that many wrinkles...no she was still pretty...to herself anyway. She didn't care much for what others said. She blinked...oh yeah, the trip! "We're leaving today?" she jogged after him. "You know, running to class won't make it go by any quicker." she sped up.

Tori looked back at her, thinking. Maybe if he hurried he could do all of his exercises and leave early. "I can hope!" he said with a sigh, opening the door to the sparring room and bowing. It was customary to do that, or his teacher would whip him senseless in sparring.
