Mine is actually from the poem "The Road Not Taken" it goes... 'Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference'

"I cannot believe that the purpose of life is to be happy. I think the purpose of life is to be useful, to be responsible, to be compassionate. It is, above all to matter, to count, to stand for something, to have made some difference that you lived at all." -Leo Rosten (That is my absolute favorite quote for the moment.)
"One may have a blazing hearth in one's soul and yet no one ever came to sit by it. Passers-by see only a wisp of smoke from the chimney and continue on their way." -Vincent van Gogh
"We're so engaged in doing things to achieve purposes of outer value that we forget that the inner value, the rapture that is associated with being alive, is what it's all about." -Joseph Campbell

I Have Always Lived By Quotes. I feel they are somehow the key to great things, Even if you don't know them directly: “After there is great trouble among mankind, a greater one is prepared. The great mover of the universe will renew time, rain, blood, thirst, famine, steel weapons and disease. In the heavens, a fire seen.” ~Nostradamus A strong argument for the religion of Christ is this - that offences against Charity are about the only ones which men on their death-beds can be made - not to understand - but to feel - as crime. ~Edgar Allen Poe All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream. Edgar Allen Poe Beauty of whatever kind, in its supreme development, invariably excites the sensitive soul to tears. ~Edgar Allan Poe

I find alot of sayings and quotes amusing, but I don't really live by them. I dunno, I guess trying to do so would feel too constricting. Though, I do remember a couple, and prefer to label them as my favorites and most memorable.
"'I can't explain myself, I'm afraid, sir,' said Alice, 'Because I'm not myself you see.'" "Feel the fear, and do it anyway." "If you don't understand my silence, you can't understand my words."

The quotes I live by: -'I have this policy about honesty and a**-kicking: If you asked for it, I have to let you have it' ~Unknown
-'You may find me odd for loving something so damned, but I find that love beautiful' ~Me
