"More than you ever expected? How many would that be?" Zaneth asked dully still not expecting the number to be anything substantial. They had encountered more than expected before, especially in the last few missions but it was never anything that Amaya couldn't handle by herself. "You think you'll have to chase some of them down again?" He asked remembering the time when the Deathwalkers thought they had the numbers but ended up running.

"How does close to seventy sound?" Amaya asked Zaneth dryly. "I don't think I'll be chasing any down, by all means they'll most likely be chasing us down the minute we set foot in that town." She muttered. They'd have to think up some sort of plan, and Amaya was going to have to push herself further than she'd probably normally be comfortable with.

Maverick looked into the town, it would seem his feelings were right. How would this all play out, seventy was larger than any amount of deathwalkers they had dealt with before. Something else was going on here. He wasn't sure who was behind this but it was not normal for there to still be this many here. "Something isn't adding up. We must be cautious. I fear someone else is pulling the strings."

Zaneth gave out a small laugh as he glanced over at Amaya. She's serious. He realized but the small smile never left his face. His full attention was not set on the town. Finally he would be able to do something instead of watching from the side lines. Regardless of how excited he was, he kept a clear mind and a calm appearance. "Well, I'll follow your lead Amaya." He said in calm voice.

((sorry I didn't post sooner. I was going to friday night, and then my power went out until about an hour ago.))
Kai trailed after, curious. "Will one of us pop in before she turns or is killed?" she asked, letting Ri meld into her arm. The dragon tattoo darkened, the colors now more intense, now that Ri had returned.
"Could we try to ambush them out here? Someone go in, draw them out? If we can get them where they aren't waiting to ambush them we might have a better chance." Ari mused, red eyes searching the town for any movement. While she would prefer to scale a building, or a tree, and shoot from there, she knew it wasn't practical. Amaya needed her, specifically her kiss, closeby.

"I worry that if we go in to stop any activity, our presence alone will send her over the edge. Amaya has a deep hatred for Fallen after the lie the Guild told her." Rikiya stated, still watching from his perch on the hill.
"I agree, Maverick." Amaya started, still staring at the town as she tried to think up a plan. "To get them to come out, I'd need to release a large enough amount of my power to draw them out. But going out in the middle of town wouldn't be a smart idea either..." She sighed, still unable to come up with a good plan yet.

"Didn't you bind some of your energy to me at some point?" Ari looked sharply to Amaya. "I should be able to get in and out, shoot them enough to piss them off and get them to chase me. If I 'feel' like a vestec they'd chase me." It was a risk, certainly, and it'd be leaving Amaya without her kiss. But, she was fast, and she could shoot while running, and it wouldn't put their Vestec in the middle of an ambush.
"Ri can do a decent amount of damage, and I can hide her." Kai offered, shrugging.

"No matter where we fight them, its not ganna be pleasant. Even if we draw them out here, we'll be surrounded. There are no natural chokes out here, so we'll be meeting them all at once." The smile never left his face as he got off his horse. "Well only questions now are what to do with the horses and which one of the guard goes in?"

Looking to Ari as she suggested going in herself, Amaya immediately began shaking her head. "No, it's too dangerous to send you in. I need you to activate my powers, and beside that fact, even with your speed, Deathwalkers are faster than you. If anything, either Zaneth or Maverick and I should go in, get their attention and then I bring them to a place where you can snipe them with your arrows." She muttered, still staring down at the village. Looking to Zaneth, Amaya shrugged. "We send the horses away, then you and Maverick decide which one of you comes with me."

"Hold on a minute," Zaneth said as he looked back at Amaya. "Who said you could go? You may be the strongest and fast out of all of us but the fact remains you're the one who was trained to fight them so your just as important as Ari. If something goes wrong, we don't only lose the lives of 2 of us but this entire mission goes out the window. I still feel that one of the guard should go in, that way if one doesn't came back we still have a second chance. Besides, if there are about 70 in there, how hard could it be to flush them out?"

Maverick shook his head and said "Debate is over." He grabbed Zaneth by the arm intially and said "We're going in. We'll be back out in a few minutes. Get yourselves ready. You are stronger and faster, yes. Which means you will be a better ambush than us." With that being said Maverick followed closely by Zaneth went in with his sword and shield drawn. Maverick was tired of Amaya always risking herself. It was time he and Zaneth earned their worth in this squad.

Ari, guessing Amaya would try to stop the guards, grabbed her arm, firm yet gentle. "Let them. You're not the only one who wants, needs, to prove themselves." she said quietly. She turned and shooed the horses, slapping them lightly on the rumps with her bow to send them off. They could collect them after they survived this town. "Yell and I'll activate your powers. Same signal? I'll stay close, dont worry." she added with a smile. "And Amaya, don't do anything stupid? We can run if all else fails..." she didn't let the smile falter, refusing to think of what would happen if they did fail. If Amaya went too far. A Fallen Amaya would not be good, not at all. Pushing those thoughts from mind, she made her way to one of the strategically placed trees near where they were. The leaves were thick enough to conceal her, but not so much as to hinder her shooting or prevent her from moving. No, it was not the most subtle of hiding spots. But it gave her the higher ground and some concealment.

Zaneth came to a stop at the entrance, "Well this is completely normal." He said as he carefully walked into what seemed like a deserted town. "Well, this saves buy time for them to set up at least." He said to Mav as approached the nearest building and slowly pushed the door open. It was an empty bar. He tightened his grip on his weapon as he made his way inside. Deathwalkers could hide as humans but Amaya usually found them pretty easily but this was different. If she felt them, they were definitely there and yet this town seem to be completely empty.

Ari was correct, Amaya was going to stop them, she didn't enjoy seeing them go put themselves in the middle of things, but all she could do was grab her own bow and wait. She'd yell at them when they came out. And she would make sure they came out just so she could yell at them. "I don't like this." Amaya muttered to Ari, still looking down at the village as she now got an arrow ready.

"What on earth is there to like about the conecpt of this many deatheaters?" Ari asked dryly, flashing Amaya a grin. She settled down on the branch, setting an arrow to the bow, which rested on her lap. "I know, not what you meant. But you aren't the only one who can fight them. We may be mere mortals," Ari smiled, showing she was jsut teasing. "but we are competent fighters too. They just want to feel like they make a difference, and do something other than sit on the sidelines." she finished. She made sure to keep an eye on the village throughout her quiet speech, not wanting to get caught off guard.
