Ticvor changed his clothes to a simple white t-shirt, and jeans before making his way for the diner to apply for a job. Hopefully he'd be accepted. What he really wanted to do as a career was to be a novelist. But something like this would be necessarily before he could make any money from novels. There were so many ideas that he could probably fill up a bookshelf.

Due to a particularly large inheritance, surprising skill in saving money, and her already being born to a wealthy family, Jaq honestly had no need for an actual job beyond the bits of money she got from painting or selling the rare baubles she'd find in her "investigations" throughout the wilderness near Strangetown. (Plus, Chester payed hansomely for help grooming his mangy hair every few months or so.) Because of her lack of employment and how late she stayed up, it wasn't surprising that Jaq was still asleep. She was bundled up deep in thick black blankets atop her fancy, circular bed.

The owner of the diner was glad to give Ticvor the job. In fact he seemed to have been hoping he'd get a job at the diner as he got on his feet in this town. Either way Ticvor now has a more steady source of income. Perhaps he'll meet some interesting people. Perhaps someone who isn't crazy about paranormal. Or at least talk as if it was reality. Sure he likes those things, but to stay fiction.
Perhaps his first novel will be about aliens since he keeps dreaming about alien babies. Maybe not about alien babies, but an interesting alien story. Like if one visits earth to find a mate, or something. Perhaps that would be a little overboard, but it sounded interesting.
But honestly, there really are not many Extraterritorial romance stories.

After much rolling around in her sleep, Jaq stumbled off the bed and landed flat on the floor. She let out a loud yelp from beneath her mound of blankets. Having been woken up in this manner, chances were high that she would be unable to fall back asleep. So reluctantly, Jaq began digging her way out of her ball of blankets and later out of her bedroom itself. She headed towards her 'dressing room', which was a fairly large room filled with various outfits organized into very neat rows and categories. After what felt like forever she found the outfit she wanted to wear that day, which mainly consisted of: a short black tank top with a cartoony skull icon on the front, a dark red plaid miniskirt, spiked belt and matching "collar" choker with various matching bracelets for both arms, dark fishnet stockings, and a pair of combat boots. She styled her hair in her usual style, which her photograph on the first page clearly displays, just after she finished getting dressed. After looking herself over in the mirror she put on a little lipstick, eye shadow, and eye-liner before deciding that she was ready to head out for the day. There had to be something interesting to do, or perhaps even something paranormal to find in Strangetown today, she just knew* it!
{*Her intuition isn't something to be trusted 85% of the time.}

Some of the customers along the lines noticed Ticvor's yellow eyes. Unlike people in the last town he lived in they thought they were a nice feature. However not many of them actually commented on them. Once in a while there would be a comment, but not many.
Ticvor proved to be a hard worker. The diner owner seems to be impressed by his performance in delivering food to the tables. He seems to think that Ticvor would make a good addition to the town. Hopefully he won't run away like the last person.
No one really remembered why he left. Something about aliens....

Vincent was still wearing his clothes from the day before -not that anyone ever seemed too worried about what they where. His hair was hanging down over his face and his jacket was covering his plain white T-shirt. He was wearing black jeans stained with dirt on the knees and sides from where he was sitting in the gardens. He headed towards the community center, most people didn't want him in their lawns during the day, and he tried to stay away. Maybe he'd visit the new persons' garden again. It was pretty small...

The postal lady was bringing quite a few packages to Ticvor's house. Quite a few gifts from family members from other towns. Mostly from cousins in which were like siblings to him. She left them by the door then went on her way. She was sure that they'd be safe behind the brick wall, and the gate.

{Hey Bikki, would you mind if I made another character?}
After donning her heavy backpack full of 'investigative tools' and the like, Jaq burst through her own front door, a broad grin plastered upon her lips. Despite her rude awakening, she seemed quite energetic, walking with a skip in her step towards the empty desert in the distance - in the direction of a nearby mountain to be specific. She loved just hiking about with no particular destination in mind. Sometimes, if she were lucky, she might run into Chester and they'd have tea. Other times she'd find some wierd, unidentified object or some other junk to sell.

{I thought we needed a villain-type character, or at least a "starter" villain, so yeah. :3 If it sucks, by all means, let me know.}

[Actually, I like her. Very interesting.]
At Ticvor was working Veronica was sound asleep. Sure her sleep time might seem more like a normal human's she goes to sleep late, and gets up pretty late. Usually goes to sleep at 6AM, and waking back up at 5PM. Since it was still early in the morning she was still sound asleep buried under thick covers as her body can no longer retain heat. Also it always felt awkward not to be covered with blankets anyway.
The room was covered in pure darkness. Not a single source of light can be found. The windows were covered in heavy drapery. As well as the fact there are no technology that give off lights with there little LCD bulbs.
As she slept she remembered how it was to be a human. How her live was in England so long ago.

{I'll post as Alceste when night time rolls around.}
Jaq continued to trek along through the sands, eventually discovering yet another unusual doodad half buried in the sand. After much effort she was able to yank it out, revealing that it was some strange slab of slightly glowing metal. It made her feel kind of funny, almost sick even, but she didn't mind. No, Jaq was actually quite excited. It closely resembled the material used to build that broken alien saucer she found one time in the mountains. A giddy grin spread across her lips. "This one's going to my collection room!" she thought out loud, stuffing it into the limitless void that was her pocket before trecking onward.
