Bodb soon gallopped into Hong Kong, finding the greeting of the harvest festival strange to say the least, being 7'2" with waist-length crimson hair, a chest length goatee, covered head to toe in padded leather armor, a bladed recurve with a flemish bowstring, a khukri tucked into his right boot, and a quiver full of posion tipped fire arrows strapped to his left hip, not to mention his european mutt of a horse made him stand out like a sore thumb

“Playing with fire is bad for those who burn themselves.”Alessandra was still watching the locals, her height close enough to theirs that she didn't stand out as much as long as she had her golden hair, green eyes, foreign clothes and weapons hidden. Which she currently was hiding beneath a cloak. She couldn't say the same for the man who rode into the town whose height alone made him stick out. She turns her curious gaze to him, hoping he wasn't connected to the Church somehow. “For the rest of us, it is a very great pleasure.” -Anonymous

After the ship landed, Aurore's primary objective was to report to the Emperor's convoy. She slipped through the crowds, mostly unnoticed considering how many foreigners were in town. She quickly found her way to the Emperor's tent. She quickly told the adviser who she was and waited to be invited honorably into the presence of the ruler.

Hugo Reis The dignitary was incredibly busy, bustling back and forth amongst various ranks of Chinese nobility, practicing his Chinese speaking skills and custom knowledge as he attempted to make himself pleasurable company in this foreign place. The guards, including Hugo, had very little to do. It was a relaxed atmosphere, with little danger at the moment, and Hugo himself had been pushed to the edges of the group of guards. His rank wasn't as significant on land as it was over the water, it seemed.
Glancing around the dizzying array of peculiar sights, Hugo noticed a couple he had not expected. The first rode a few feet away on a tall horse; in fact, the beast seemed better suited to pulling a carriage than serving as a ride, but it suited the equally gargantuan height of its rider. Coupled with the man's hair, the sight was almost stupefyingly unusual. Hugo subconsciously forgot all about the dignitary for the moment.
The man addressed someone else below him, a woman, and it was only then Hugo noticed the other person. She had not originally stood out to him, just one amongst the crowd, but her voice in reply was as different from Chinese as the rider's thick Scottish tone. Hugo couldn't place where, but her accent was definitely European: one of the other Romance languages, perhaps.
Suddenyl excited to find his group was not the only European one around, Hugo carefully butted himself into the conversation. "You are both European as well?" he asked, despite the obvious answer. He kept his voice just loud enough to be heard by them, though he was careful not to draw the other guards' attention.

(Since the first one to speak was Bodb, who is Scottish, I've been assuming English. Hugo is speaking in English.) Hugo Reis A look of relief washed briefly over Hugo's face. If these two were here, then perhaps even more Europeans were here as well. Not being the only foreigners there... maybe Hugo's idea could work after all. He could speak English well enough, along with a little of some other European languages from his forced travel. If he could talk to people, or even ask to come along somewhere... well, that would be a much better option than the fleeing into an unknown culture as he'd been debating a moment before.
However, these two were still strangers despite his hopes. With a little restraint, Hugo removed the relief on his face to a more neutral, if still friendly, one. He was still uncertain of the woman's nationality, and he knew very little about the Scottish. Portugal and the English government had enjoyed good terms for some time. He'd been forced to tag along to the island kingdom more than once.
From what he knew, the English and Scottish were in constant struggles over territory and power. The English he'd overheard largely spoke with disfavor about the Scottish. Crude and barbaric, they called them: behind the times and set in pagan ways. This tall Scottish man's intimidating appearance did little to dispel those concepts, but Hugo reminded himself that the opinions he'd overheard were only the elite. To them, his own family and childhood were crude, too. In fact, that was related to the reason why he wanted out.
Still, it was best to restrain himself for now, though he would not hesitate enough to ruin what could be an opportunity. "Well, that is nice. I was only told our own country would be here." He glanced around at the harvest festival around them, with its unfamiliar music and fascinatingly peculiar sights. "It is all very interesting, but less so when you feel you cannot talk to anyone." To be frank, Hugo interacted little with the other guards, who were professional soldiers by trade and did not consider him quite one of them.

"Aside from my training and the fact the the king of my homeland's been trying to get me to marry his daughter for a couple dozen moons now, I have no relation to the scottish crown I'm just a simple huntsman and farmboy from the eastern highlands" Bodb smiled in his heavy accent as he brushed Tygyrnach's mane

As Aurore was waiting, she heard some whisperings of English being spoken. She tilted her head, and smirked a little. Considering that she'd been waiting an awful long while, she decided that she would...socialize with the Europeans. She gracefully glided over to the others. "Why, ello," she said, her light French accent adding to her voice like a bell. "I just zo happened to be pazzing by when I 'eard you speaking English...." she said, smiling sweetly and acting innocent.
