First Don in TKD. Hoping to obtain 2nd rank Black Belt in September.
Took a few sessions in Muay Tai Kickboxing.
And did Capoeira, but it's not much of a martial art though it looks like it. blaugh

MultiRocks2007 Currently taking Shotokan, where I hold the rank of 4th kyu (purple belt). Been doing it for almost 4 years. Insert loud squeal here. I'm a 4th kyu in Shotokan! *happy dance* Although I've been in it for about three years. How many testings to do you get a year?

I took Tae Kwon Do for 4 years and got my black belt before I realized how crap it really was (no offence intended) Most Tae Kwon Do schools dont teach application at all.
I just began Tae Soo Do which is the 'undergraduate' program to Hwa Rang Do and I'm liking it a whole lot better.

Well... I've been training for 4 years. But I haven't been within a year or so... I broke my elbow 2 years ago, and messed up my back pretty bad from an advanced training about 3 years ago. But if I were training in that time, I would be going for my Shodan in January. The way it works at my dojo is that when we get to 4th kyu, we then have to promote every 6 months. So pretty much we test twice a year. So in January, I'm going for 3rd kyu! WOO! I can't wait! And we have to go to Special Trainings, which suck! I went to one, and I ended up coming home to tend to my swollen ankle! We had to run, and my ankle flopped over (I have weak ankles to begin with... So yeah). So... I ended up tearing the tendons and ligaments in my ankle, as well as getting a foot inversion. Sounds cool, huh? I was stuck in an air cast for 3 weeks... Which sucked even more! I couldn't train, and I was having withdrawals from not being able to go! Siarnaqth MultiRocks2007 Currently taking Shotokan, where I hold the rank of 4th kyu (purple belt).
