"Remind me again when I turned into the angsty one and you turned into the one telling me to get over it?" Adrian said with an amused smile before finishing off his hot chocolate and popping the remaining candy cane hook into his mouth before bringing his mug over.

"I dunno, some time in the last four years when I had to watch children's show after children's show about getting along and sharing and not being a sore loser and all that bullshit?" Amaya asked with a grin, taking the mug and putting it in the sink.

"That's right, you've had to hang around small children while it's just been me and whatever cable the hotel rooms have had." Adrian said as he walked over to where he'd dropped his stuff by the foot of the couch and rifled through his duffle bag. "Anywhere I can actually unpack and keep my things, or should I just live out of my bag for now?"

"Half my closet and the two bottom drawers of my dresser are empty if you want to put stuff in there. There's a bathroom connect to my room if you want to take a shower or anything, and I've actually got a few more presents to wrap for Calista, so you're more than welcome to go unpack or whatever while I do that." Amaya told him, pointing to her bedroom door as she got up and pulled presents from different hiding places, pulling out the wrapping paper as well.

"Don't worry, I doubt I'll need half a closet's worth of room." Adrian said zipping his bag back up and carrying it into Amaya's room to unpack. "Traveling like what I've been doing doesn't lend itself to packing heavy. Once the holiday insanity dies down and it's safe to go shopping, I'll be sure to actually fill out my wardrobe than the week's worth of clothing I've been living on."

"Here's a question. You been washing your week's worth of clothes?" Amaya asked with a raised eyebrow as she followed him into the room, leaning on the doorframe.

"Yes, yes I have. I've been living like a wanderer, not a bachelor." Adrian joked as he held up a small laundry bag. "Contrary to what you may think, I do in fact know how to work a washing machine. In no small part due to the nice ladies at the laundromats."

"They probably felt bad for the teenage boy trying to figure out how to use the washing machine." Amaya teased. "It took me a few failed washes before I figured it out." Shesaid, thinking back on when she first started doing her own laundry.

Adrian chuckled a bit while a grin creased his lips as a story came to mind. "There was this one little old lady--clearly going senile and likely the proud owner of at least two cats--that thought I was her grandson offering to help her do the laundry. Pinched my cheeks and everything." he said as he finished packing his clothes away and closed the drawer before taking his bag of assorted toiletries into the bathroom. "Didn't matter how many times I corrected her, she wouldn't stop calling me Georgie."

Kityfan2 Kierra just skated off after him, determined to get him back one way or the other. She skated faster to try to catch up with him, not being the best of skater, but also not the worst. She watched him ahead of her and focused on heating up his blades to make the ice weaker. Rock knew what she was trying to do, he could feel the heat, the ice weakening. Thing was, he was at his advantage in this place. He simply jumped to perform a 180 turn but at the same time. yanked the ice off his shoes and landed on a new set of ice-blades that sprouted from the ice below him and raised an eyebrow to Kierra, showing the blades in front of him. "Seriously?"

Kierra glared at him and thought for a second. She just smiled at him, "I'll get you later. For now, let's just skate." She then happily turned her attention back to skating, though she kept scheeming in the back of her mind.

((I guess?))
"Senile old women are...an experience." Amaya said as she thought about all the old women she'd come in contact with over the years. "Sometimes they give you good advice though. Strange, non-topic related advice, but it's still occasionally good."

"Note my walking away with a lack of advice, just some slight frustration and humiliation. I got the bum deal on little old ladies apparently." Adrian said as he walked over to try out Amaya's bed, flopping back onto the mattress with a satisfied sigh.

((Amaya, just a heads-up: I'm planning on bringing Amadeus into the RP, since Smith is apparently going to be tied up for all eternity waiting for Vamp to answer the phone. I'm too tired to actually post his exploiting-diplomatic-immunity opening post tonight, but I'll get it up tomorrow by around 9:00 or so.))
